Only to lose them 5 seconds later .
Thats why I only play Gambit for quests now , and just forget about trying to win .
But if you're on a quest (exotic or normal) that requires YOU, specifically to take the motes and bank them.........................well, the only solution I have for you is to be closer to your prey and then get the motes. OR you could be like those "pesky" teammates and always be on the lookout for anyones motes whenever your "hunting", sooooooooooo................yeah
The point is also to send blockers. If a person has a chance to send a large with one more mote it makes sense to let them have it if you only have 8 or 0 for that matter.
I know the situation exactly, but to be fair, your critic should be directly adressed to Bungie, because the mechanic is their intentional design, it's projected, and not "stealing". Apart from that, you don't need to bank to win the round.
But if you want a more logical approach you have to go in with a premade fireteam.
Large blockers have a Sheet ton more health than small and mediums......i can 1 shot small and mediums with jotuun...larges take 4 shots
Conundrum: do I chance killing one more in the next spawn area or deposit for a large before the invader comes and goes for the juicy 19 boi.
Truth.....Also it really doesnt matter what you do the invader runs the game ......which is why i despise gambit.....like cruicible just fine....but gambit.....F that and the people that invented it
Each time a quarter of the bank is filled, the Invasion portal opens. Players can enter the enemy side, kill opponents to deny motes, and steal motes for their team. Once the Primeval is summoned, the enemy team's portal opens regularly, approximately one minute after an Invader returns, all the info you need is on the screen when your playing.
