Arms Dealer Strike = Artificial Difficulty

This entire strike is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, there's nothing challenging about the boss and all enemies having 4x their health and dealing twice the damage, with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ orbital strikes being called on you every 5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ seconds. Fix your balancing Bungie.

thread may be dead but i figured since googling "how to beat arms dealer strike" brings it up i would add some helpful tips to those still stumbling on it!

(if you dont want to watch it basically: hammerstrike titan, tractor cannon, shotguns, something abt heavyweight and void singe)

ive also seen you can cheese it by triggering zahn to peek over the ledge before the elevator goes up by climbing up the chains, as well as being able to damage him w/ area of effect guns/grenades by shooting the floor underneath the columns while hes in the bubble

also, op im so sorry, i was truly shocked at how much of a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ppl were acting on this thread. hopefully your experience with the community has grown more positive past this thread

This thread was about the "difficult" variant required to complete the exotic bow quest.

The "harder story versions" of quests are meant to be run with a fireteam. Only madmen run it alone if they know that they shouldn't be. If you need help, don't be afraid to look on the destiny app in the fireteams section- I'm one of those guys who likes those versions and will run them even though I don't need them at all.

OP is correct. "the arms dealer" strike is hard AF for the exotic quest Leviathans Breath.

It took me and my fireteam 5x to beat the Boss as there are a bunch of modifiers. Mind you each one of us was avg around 950 a piece.

the strike is easy AF up until the boss....than oooooh hell its ridiculous.

I actually found this encounter easy compared to that crazy version of Savathun's Song for the exotic. We nearly gave up and just barely pulled it out after multiple tries. Blackout with constant thrall was the opposite of fun. I personally don't think Bungie should make the exotic quests so hard because it locks out casual players from a large number of guns and some of those are part of a season pass they paid for. I am fine with the really hard quests for things like Recluse. The top tier players need to be rewarded with top legendaries, but I don't think the exotics should be included.

Paying for the season pass doesn't entitle you to loot in your inventory, that's the definition of p2w. No.

That was fixed, it can be completed now if you were on the Arms Dealer strike when season 8 ended. Source: TWAB & me, who earned his LB in season 9

I haven't done this strike mission yet myself but I still do remember doing Nightfall mission of insight terminus (didn't have really good weapons back then) and it was super tedious and annoying. Not really difficult. I might solo some nightfall mission at some point but quite honestly I am on strike on strike missions (I am not sorry, I do not care if you got upset and blame bungie for the word choice)
