Warlock and Titan jumping...
I started with a Hunter, and the double jump works really good for the majority of strikes/etc, but then I made a Warlock and Titan so I could farm the weekly bright dust, and their jumping drives me crazy.

I can understand how W/T jumping would be preferable for jump puzzles, but how do you guys deal with it when trying to reach a high area? I can't count the number of times in a strike where I've missed getting on top of something, and had to stop and jump twice without any directional movement, and even then sometimes I cannot get on top of things. I am always the guy lagging behind in strikes with W/T.

Any advice?

Balanced glide is how I do just about every jump puzzle. Gives a nice upwards boost and directional control.

Yeah, instead of the float and blink and all of that they get double jumps and I believe an option for triple jumping.

They can triple jump tho.

Warlock vertical height sucks, and uses your momentum most of the time so you gotta start the jump as soon as you can and not a the top of the jump. Titan jumps are easy and you should have no problem with it and figure out which of the 3 works for you.

It takes a lot of getting used to but Warlocks and Titans both seem to maintain their own kind of hovering state that you need to cancel by pressing space again. The number of times I lifted up way too high in the air on my Titan and gingerly glided on my warlock in the line of fire is ... probably a pretty big number by now though I haven't counted.

The important thing is to remember that Warlocks and Titans can have their special jumps canceled partway through and aren't just a normal double jump like the Hunter.

The Titan's default 'High Lift' jump takes you up pretty high if you're moving slowly, and pretty far if you're moving fast.
In which strikes do you find the Titan is having trouble reaching high places?

The other classes jumps are pretty momentum based. For Warlock especially, you need to pretty much double tap jump to get height. Pretty sure Warlocks have the highest jump of all three, especially straight up. I haven't played Titan too much, I think they are similar, but more forgiving.

Ah, I've been waiting for the second jump as a Warlock, I'll try double tapping jump quicker.

The strike that is the worst for me is the Garden one on Mercury.

Titan high lift and the lion rampant exotic is great for jump puzzles. Mobility also helps on the other 2 with jumping and motion in general.

If you're struggling to get used to titan jump after playing hunter, try using titan catapult lift. Use space to cancel it and treat it like hunter's triple jump.

Warlock jumping is the most obnoxious ♥♥♥♥ ever conceived in this game. If you glide while decreasing altitude you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lost to the bottom. There is no way to go up.

I think that hunters have a weird jump. Your brain might be on backwards, try flipping it.:papyruswacky:

Warlock jumping is tricky and takes time to learn.

Depending on when in a jump you press the button and if you hold the button you can speed up ascent or descent quit smoothly. You are in total control of how high or low your jumps are.

An example is 3 quick jump presses and hold 3rd press. You jump a little jump upwards and come back down really fast. It's the fastest jump I seen and you are still in control of where you land the entire time.
