Forsaken+Shadowkeep Family Sharing
Hi there,

somebody tried that? I own Forsaken and Shadowkeep, all season passes. I share my library on my computer only to let my kid play the game, but he doesn't get access to any season pass content or DLC.

What's the trick? That would be ridiculous to buy Shadowkeep twice to play on the same computer...

Thanks

i think if you family share, and the person you family share to doesn't have the game he gets the dlc, but as soon as he buys the game he losses the dlc, so im not sure how it will work with destiny 2 considering its f2p

Destiny 2 is not family share supported. Unfortunately, you'll either have to let your kid play with your account or get him the DLC as well.

But it is on PS4 and XBox if I remember correctly. I can understand why it wasn't on Battle.net since it's not a supported feature by Blizzard, but on Steam it is.

The problem is: Steam sees Destiny 2 as a free to play title, thus it's automatically excluded from Family share.

Yeah, that's the conclusion I got when trying. I was hoping I was doing something not right preventing the proper sharing. I'll open a ticket on Bungie and see if it's by design, not deployed or just a bug...

In the end, I think it's absurd to buy twice the game to play on the same damn computer...

It may not be under Bungies control. Steam is rather weirdly strict about DLC sharing with Family.

Bungie hasn't historically supported the PS4 and Xbox One console game sharing features either, just so that you are aware.

Hum, a own D1 (all included) and D2 (with Forsaken) on PS4. Bought and installed under my adult account. My kid played D1 and played D2 on the same PS4, under his personal PS4 and Bungie account (family) and had access to everything.

They've never actively blocked game sharing, but they just don't support it in any real capacity.

Old thread I know... but I just ran into this issue today. I was hoping to play Destiny 2 with my daughter and was surprised to see none of the DLC I own was available to her even though I authorized her PC. Now reading more about this it doesn't even sound like we could play together anyway, sounds like only one PC can use the content at any given time. Pretty freaking lame to be honest.

I guess we're going to be playing on Xbox where not only can she access everything, we can do it on different consoles at the same time and actually game together with any title I own. Steam family sharing could learn some lessons from Xbox and PlayStation. This is pretty lame...

Not since it went free to play.
