i can attest... its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard.... its annoying, and time consuming.
you are Scouring the Rust from your skills with the fusion rifle.... its hard, annoying and time consuming.
Oh lookit that. The game forced you out of your comfort zone and now you found a new toy to play with.
The first is that you should never have to use a specific weapon (or even damage type) for an Iron Banner/Crucible bounty unless it is for a specific weapon or it has a negligent reward (i.e., Crucible bright dust bounties)
The second is that the rolls this game gives you for everything other than the grenade launcher (the step that auto-completes...) are pretty bad, and the grenade launcher isn't great, it's just a power weapon so it doesn't entirely matter if it's awful.
The third is that Fusion Rifles come in two flavors: practically cheating or as impotent as a eunuch. You either have one that has Tap the Trigger on it or you're probably going to consider ritualistic suicide in an attempt to regain any honor your family might have had until you were born with the fool-hardy wish to play a video game and enjoy it.
The fourth issue is that if you don't play Fusion Rifles I guarantee you do not have one of those rolls unless you're a complete hoarder, and so you can't just go back into your vault and bust out a decent Fusion Rifle.
Yeah, the name for the quest makes a lot of sense in that the quest is difficult and tedious, but you know what happens after you scour rust? You have something ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ usable. Instead, we get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ armor rolls that aren't worth the time and effort investment to get except off the pinnacle bounties... Which you don't need to complete the quest to turn in
But you know, this is the "easiest Iron Banner quest yet" neglecting to mention the other ones you could do basically by just playing whereas this one you have to adopt a specific playstyle yet Bungie doesn't even give you a good tool to do it with.
And for ♥♥♥♥'s sake, the Wizened Rebuke with Rangefinder and Threat Detector is a complete ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ roll what the ♥♥♥♥ are you guys smoking.
Every reward is behind a questwall or some sort of grind wall... They aren't going to give you weapons/gear without putting effort/time into the grind.
Speak for yourself. I run with a Fusion in PvP all the time. To be honest, I had more problems with the SMG kills, I'm terrible with them.
