Real talk: how is this game?

It seems the game is getting positive reviews for the meme. But how is the game really? My biggest concern is rubber band AI, hopefully this game doesn't have it.

its actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. just get the original game. this version is just the same thing but just a slighty better look to it. and costs more then the other game.

Didn't you know that konami hired kojima just so he could help create this game? Garfield himself blessed us with another game that he made. It's literally the pinnacle of human culture and innovation.
Graphics are 10x more real than real life. You actually feel like you're Garfield while you're controlling him.
And the story, your brain melts just from the amount of enlightenment you get, you start thinking about existence and the universe. You cry from the emotions this game represents. It's the second best thing humanity has ever done that can compare to God's creation (first one being the first game).
So whenever you try to say anything bad, pls do some research and spend at least 5k hours on it, only then you can say that something is bad.

The guy who said there is no difference is wrong. This game has several changes to track layouts and the physics engine. None of the changes are good. This is an inferior version to the original and the 3ds version. Only get it if you are going to use mods, because there will be many mods improve it. Mods dont exist yet, but they will soon.

If you're concerned about rubber band AI, there's none in this game. Or if there is, it's not very good at its job. You can easily outrun every other racer and spend the last two laps all by your lonesome, with the occasional power-up slowing you down (but not enough to make you lose.)

It's alright, but would be nice if something was done to that irritating driving sound in this remaster. It almost blocks out all other sound effects while racing.

I think the Remaster also has better performance than the original, though. Can have it on highest settings and it's not lagging anywhere near as much as the original did.

I'm not sure we're going to get too honest of a review for awhile

As a cartoonist myself I really enjoyed Jim Davis's strips growing up but unfortunately they gained a lot negative attention from the more pretentious whom felt cheesed by the Disney-innocent 'attitude' influenced by Garfield ( Remember the woman in Office Space who always pissed off her co-workers with the quip "Oh, it seems you just have a bad case of the Mondays!" )

And so, just like Arby's, Garfield became a part of American culture that was fashionable to mock.

Myself? I had all the comic collection books and when I read Garfield I always imagined him having Bill Murray's voice so when the first animated TV show for Garfield sprouted I was happily surprised.

Shortly after, upon reflection I realised that Davis was probably influenced by Murray
So blame Soccer Mom Monday comments on Bill.......

Ok, so I played 54 minutes of this game and i can tell you some things. Firstly, in terms of playing the game, the turning is very very tight so I'm not sure if the developers intended it that way or it's scuffed. It isnt your next CTR or Mario Kart per say. If you want to compare it, its roughly average between Garfield and CTR, meaning it needs more polishing and some other refinements

HOWEVER, the BIGGEST problem I have is that I cannot connect to my friend in UK OR connect to any human players online. I can let the online multiplayer random people off the hook because maybe there isnt enough players to fill in the spaces ( the dev should have spend more money on ads to get more players ) BUT the fact that I cant connect to my friend in UK is a huge letdown. I dont see why they cant just let people create a dedicated server or something, I tried to remote host my friend but ended up doing something else

Sooooooooo the final conclusion is, IF you are going to play with others, dont get it UNTIL something is fix on the multiplayer/ co op BUT if you dont mind playing it yourself to satisfied that driving itch, then its not bad for the price
