I thought I would do some song swapping but OH MY GOSH! ... what an ordeal ! :( ...
Seriously, can you make adding custom songs to the top of the list. (powerbeats is a game I like and it's quite easy AND has a song editor to make changes if desired but it also automatically analyzes the songs to make a map) ... not sure if that is helpful for you to get some info from them (I have no idea how game designing works) but I have NO DOUBT it's time consuming.
(watched nobby76 youtube tutorial)
Thanks,
Devs seem to have 0 interest in an editor.
Modding group is making one but it will still be a while before we see anything.
I am not sure why people are so against options in these VR games.
What would it POSSIBLY effect you if custom songs was a thing?
Play the default songs. Play them a thousand times.
But not everyone wants to do that.
I like PW's gameplay but it lacks songs. You can play it all in less than an hour.
The songs are the levels. That's the thing. So more custom options = more levels.
You really can't make the songs feel exactly the same. Even just dubbing over songs is not great, nor is it really what anybody wants. Even something as simple as spawn x enemy at xyz location at x second. Spawn moving in this direction and end up at xyz destination before shooting. Shoot on spawn and move... etc etc etc
seems like with effort into the editing engine itself the money would print from beat saber john wick rather than people just dumping it since after you finish the few songs only someone who really likes it keeps on with it
