Session Lost - Verifying PBO failed

As of yesterday ive had this issue, "Session lost - Verifying PBO failed: @FIR_AWS(AirWeaponSystem)\addons\fir_airweaponsystem_us_cfg.pbo

I have tried Repairing the mod, verifying game files, unsubbing and resubbing the mod, same for my mod list, ive reinstalled arma, ive even tried using someone elses pbo and key file, ive deleted the PBO and bisign file and repaired the mod, ive tried deleting all my mods and downloading FROM SERVER LIST no luck.

Server is updated, 3 other players are able to play. The mod was updated on the 15th of this month (2 days before i had issues) and i played both on the 15th and the 16th. When i tried to log in on the 17th, i had this issue.

My buddy(who rents the server) saw there was an update and updated it(FIR) but it did not fix it.

Any of the PBO problems i seem to find on google is about the 1.90 update 2 years ago.... So please, anyone have any ideas?

This can be caused by unstable internet connection to steam and battleye, and in turn fails to verify pbos

ive put about 200 hrs on arma 3 in the last month - ish. and this is the first time ive had an issue like this(that is me alone).
Good to know about the unstable internet connection to steam and battleye but i do not believe thats the problem here

Good to know about the unstable internet connection to steam and battleye but i do not believe thats the problem here

It can be very random and far between, I've seen it happen to many people over the years on our Arma server's, so can never rule it out. Hopefully it's something that will fix itself for you

It can be very random and far between, I've seen it happen to many people over the years on our Arma server's, so can never rule it out. Hopefully it's something that will fix itself for you

I sure hope so. Could there be anything server-side that could be causing this issue with me but no one else?

Does this happen upon joining or after in game and playing on the server?

Upon joining, i get the HalfViking nameplate in the bottom right, and a second after the session is lost

Ah if it's stopping you from joining in the first place then it won't be the connection to steam and battleye, Maybe it might be worth getting the server to run the complete version of FIREWILL Aviation Pack (Complete) and remove the single versions and the FIR AIRWEAPONSYSTEM. Might fix the problem but can't guarantee it though.

Thank you, I will see if we can do this.
Every time we have modded the server(wanting to add something), it breaks and we have to restart our liberation mission which really sucks. Something like this seems big and high risk of needing a mission restart

Ended up being an update issue on the server, even though i thought (trusted) that the server was up to date, it actually wasnt. I was the only one running .57 and everyone else was running .56 or lower(server owner was running .53 on client lol) its fixed and good

Hey just posting on this because it was the first thing that came up on my google search when I had this issue:

If the issue is ONLY you, it's probably your end. I had this issue because one mod was out of date on the server AND something weird was going on with my internet. I fixed the issue by restarting my modem, then it started coming up correctly in the browser but showed a signature mismatch. Updated the mod on the server end and all was working.

I Have Just come up against the same problem getting the same message and it seems i cannot get onto any server i tried 3 on my Favourites list and i could not log into any of them each time i got the same message Session failed Failed to verify PBO any ideas.

I've got the same issue, from what i can PBO not working is usually a steam server error. Just give it some time and it'll pass.

hello im gonna respond to this here so people know whats up since its currently top of the search for "arma 3 pbo error"

the cause is usually pretty random but more often than not caused by an out of date mod or file on the server your are trying to join (if its single player it usually stems from a connection problem) to fix it simply try reinstalling if its singleplayer and if its multiplayer updating your server and double checking both the game install AND mods are fully up to date
