Amphibious Assault Assets?
I just saw the article on the new DLC for Expeditionary Forces and thought, gee that's nice and all, but why purchase it? But where are the real naval assets, like the America and wasp class ships?

And since we are talking about ships, why aren't there any naval assets like Nimitz, Ticonderoga, and Burke's? Yes, I know that Arma3 is basically an army-driven game, but having these assets would make the game more realistic and immersive.

And since you are introducing ships like the "AAV-9 Mack", which looks like a San Antonio, I would like to see a DLC that has the following class of warships.

1. Nimitz
2. America/Wasp
3. Harpers Ferry class
4. Ticonderoga
5. Arleigh Burke 1-3
6. Perry/Constellation
7. Freedom LCS
8. Mark V Special Operations Craft
9. Virginia Class Submarine

It is a Community made DLC, not a Bohemia Interactive DLC. In very simplified terms, it is a community mod that is being allowed to be monetised and is being given 'semi' official status.

BI are not making it, and have nothing to do with it's content beyond a rubber stamp, but it is not official.

The point i'm trying to make here is that the creators of this cDLC have added a single big ship for the 2035 setting that fills a small hole in the current offering of the base game assets that has a chance of being used. The details are of little importance so long as they 'look' the part.

We have an aircraft carrier in the Freedom, we have a multi role destroyer in the Liberty and we have a non nondescript submarine in the Proteus, it's not exactly a world of warships lineup but at a glance and from a distance ... and hell even up close for most people, it's enough to work with and to make a fleet which 'looks' the part and that is all 'most' people care about. The Amphibious Warfare Ship has likely been chosen simply because it fills the role of being a decently sized spawn area that is not as big as the carrier but not as small as the destroyer so questions along the liens of 'we have a huge ass aircraft carrier ... why do we not have any jets' don't get asked by players in an mission.

I'm not gonna say other vessels can't / won't be made ... but from a design point of view it's hard to justify making all kinds of ships since no one is really gonna tell the difference between, functionally speaking the Liberty IS a Burke ... the people that could tell the difference? are few in number and even in that number most people won't care since again, you spawn on a ship, jump in a helicopter and then fly away never to see the ship again for the duration of the mission.

Anyway I've waffled on enough at this point so i'll just say, the people that MIGHT make more ships are the creators of this cDLC, try and contact them and ask / beg them to make more and they maybe might just do that.

Thank you, for the update, however my point in posting this was to ask the dev's at BI. And I believe that enough people chimed in on it, we can then make it happen.

Either way, it doesn't hurt to ask?

BI is not going to add new navel assets to the game. Heck, they are highly unlikely to ever add any additional content to the game.

If you want new navel assets, just buy the new cDLC when it comes out.

I must admit that is a pretty awesome mod, thank you. And would like to know how did you bring those assets into the game? I mean if we can add those assets then we should be able to in these assets as well.
