Thanks for your reply. Did you encounter the same with the game download? I looked at several security sites saying they’ve flagged it for other things as well but the posts were mostly older. Do you have any idea what that file is for relating to the game?
Thing is: I've seen comments like these sporadically pop up more often and in all cases it could be traced back to a virus scanners false positive. Which is kinda east to occur with installers... depending on the virus scanner.

Arma 3 is safe
While I agree, I would still show a little caution towards very obscure indie games which have only just come out, I don't doubt they'll be caught and thrown off the store if they were malicious but some might not get noticed straight away.
Naturally a 13 year old AAA title like ArmA3 does not fall into that category.
