guys stop saying spearhead 1944 is IFA3

its not, the weapons/vehicle animation, physic, models, armor, balance is different.
I believe that tanks are a little too vulnerable, tank vs tank but also inf vs tank, a tiger can easier get killed by one AT rocket.

but overall having played on IFA3 for a lot (probably more than most players on this game, with hundreds of hours of multiplayer on it) I can definetely say it is different, feels different, and way better than IFA3.


there is some stuff I don't like (aka what I said before) but also machine gun recoil is insane (I know its to force players to lie down the machine gun and not shoot from hip, but hell I was a machine gunner in the army, with the fn mag and they really made it completely unplayable without puting the machine gun on something.)


I do believe it worth the price in term of content, but the issue is that the community is dying, most popular gamemode (aka exile, wasteland, to name a few) won't have a spearhead serv, and we can only hope for a king of the hill, even tho that's more probably it happen it is still not sure.

so the content is nice but for what really? sog was awesome content but was let down so kick.


I don't understand why arma don't make official wasteland/king of the hill servers, those are gamemode who mainly worked and carried the community (to not mention life server, but life too) why not take on themselves to make those modes official.

liberation and other are nice, and have a little playerbase but that won't carry a dlc.

I'm pretty sure this one will meet a worse fate than SOG and that too bad, but in term of content the dlc definetely worth it, a lot of work was put into it.
just too bad there is no good gamemode for it...


I would advice to wait for a king of the hill serv before taking it, that if you are into pvp.
but if you like scenarios and campaign (coop) I would def recommend.
solo I wouldn't recommend as of now.

My honest recommendation for now would be S.O.G Prairie Fire, you get an absurd amount of content for the pricepoint it's currently at (13 factions, 3 maps, etc) plus the DLC is of incredibly high quality.

You're right, it's not IFA3, but the Dev Team is the same team who made IFA3, which is why everything looks similar.

Same can be said for SOGPF, which was made by the same exact team who made UNSUNG (As Serza has pointed out in the lightest way possible).
