How to save in single player on DLC Prarie Fire?
So, I am playing alone, and just found out the DLC set in Vietnam does not have a campaign like in the base game, but I'm down with it, playing solo is OK, but I can't seem to be able to save during my mission. The game does not even save on checkpoints, like when a task is acheived... Anyone know whats up with that?

It's by design - the campaign was really made for MP, so no saves, no friendly AI in SP.

Makes you kinda wonder why they even made it possible to play it alone, since it makes no sense, and is an excercise in futility.

@krzychuzokecia True... My own fault though... I should have read up more before buying it I guess, but what the heck, it looks and sounds great though... Thx for replying...

On the upside, the modding community has stepped up somewhat. ALiVE comes with a good amount of singleplayer missions for the DLC, and while Dynamic Recon Ops is a little dysfunctional for Cam Lao Nam, it can still be a great time.

@Rujasu I will make sure to check those mods... thx for the info :-)

Watch out however for the rice paddies - the small boulders surrounding them are currently not traversable by AI. Mission makers have to place invisible AI paths over them, but that (obviously) is not a practical solution for dynamic missions.

SOG:PF devs know about this issue, so hopefully the fix will come soon!

Ah, I was wondering what was up with that. At least I got to watch my team's dramatic last stand from the safety of the extraction helo when that happened.

Ya It would be great to be able to save. I have been pretty frustrated with doing it solo with no saves. I mean its not really because I am doing it solo as I just adapt but the game can really bend you over sometimes and then you have to start all the way back at base. Most of my deaths doing it solo have been from game glitches.

Right now the most frustrating part of the mission Bright Light is being a tunnel rat for a few reason. 1. You can't disarm traps and most of the time there are at least 2 whip traps you encounter.
The only way to disarm them is to let them hit you. If you have a med kit its not too bad but it can still instantly kill you, It can also down you and then you just fall through the map, Or you can get stuck in the downed position after reviving. ( I have tried grenades and even satchel charges to blow up the traps but it don't work)

2 Enemies spawning under the map usually right at the main objective so once you reach it you get shot and either the main objective dies or you get downed and also fall through the map to be face to face with the enemy who is under the map. 4 times that happened to me and every time I have played the mission there has been enemy spawned under the map. I wish if the enemy spawns under the map it can't shoot through the ground.

You can use "MCC Sandbox 4" from the Workshop to open the Zeuseditor in the Campaign. There you can add yourself AI Teammembers. It's not perfekt, but playable if you want to play the Campaign.
