Arma 3
Low-End PC Help
I've seen people play games with Low-End PC especially Arma 3. Such as on youtube. With turned down settings. They have minimum requirements as in where I have recommended requirements. Somehow they can turn down everything and get great fps, meanwhile I heard turning down graphics doesn't really hurt or do much. In which it doesn't. Any way to play a great game with no graphics cards? It can be done. I just need people that actually can spend time on trying to solve this issue. Any help?

In multiplayer, a lot of your performance actually comes down to the server, the gamemode, and the scripts running in the background. In singleplayer, the scenario and mods you're using also count for a lot. The people on youtube may have advantages in one of the aforementioned areas that you do not. They might be on a faster server, or maybe are using a lighter scenario.

Ah. It's more (SP) like making missions and playing them. Or playing scenarios. I can't even escape from Ravage zombies because I get small lag spikes or the wheel turning is just insanely slow because of lag. Some stuff feels unresponsive due to the fps being low. Lag ain't always a problem but I just for once would like to enjoy Arma 3 for the money i've spent on it and it's DLC, as a smooth playing game. Y'know? Anyway. Any help for me? I've done multiple posts like these but no one helped, just argued at me or gave me videos that partially helped or made it worse.

More information like that is always good for solving the problem. I've got the following suggestions:
1. Open task manager while Arma is open and determine if anything is hogging your CPU and stealing resources away that Arma desperately needs.
2. Check your computer's temperature. Your CPU may be overheating and running poorly because of throttling.
3. Double check your settings, try turning FSAA off, try this mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1223309664
4. Double check your AI counts. Maybe they're too high relative to your hardware.
5. Triple check your view distance settings. Drop them as much as possible.
