That said : Cheat, in a game where YOU design a warship? Why bother? If your design is subpar, try again. Campaign is the same : If your designs are good enogh then you wont realy lose all that much. My wins in campaign where soley by "my ships are better designed than the enemy in terms of armor and guns used so victory was certain if not absolute". 1BB of mine is easily able to handle 2 of the enemy at the same time, if your lucky (AI designs their ships as you do btw. but not to the degree of inteligence) the AI puts mediocre guns and armor on their BB while maintaining low speed (16 knots, 230mm MAIN guns and 260mm +2% armor... while i use 305mm guns, at LEAST 20 knots speed and my armor is alway's on max +% and at least 250mm thick(250 + 38% = over 300 wich is enogh to repell all but the heaviest guns, and even they have a high chanze of doing no real damage at all).
You can easily learn the game via those "naval academy" missions too, so you soon learn how to develop a proper ship.
Every time this comes up in a single(!)player game, someone has to say "cheats bad".
Maybe, because I want to have fun, not caring about realism for a change? The question was more "how?", not "why?"...
Build a fleet consisted only from BBs with high survivability and you will see :D
its an easy exploit, you dont need DDs or cruisers :D
Merry Christmas, man; stay frosty!
If you are still in 1.05 you can edit it with a txt editor. They have removed this in 1.06 beta which really sucks!
