I'm down with a my little pony mount, just make it have wings and a rainbow body that sparkles. When it flies let a rainbow come out its backside with cupcakes. Kinda reminds me of this mount back in Riders of Icarus but they could make it better.
And, a year and a half later, nothing has changed. They're still trying "to make games the Amazon way, instead of simply making games people would want to play."
New World's development has basically been Anthem's development - minus the involvement of a company that at least actually knows how to make good games.
What they're doing right now with all the "extravaganzas!" and "drops!" and "devs vs streamers!" nonsense is essentially trying to turn NW into a glorified Twitch plugin, so they can at least wring some profit and infometrics out of its failure this late in the game.
Here's the AGS logic behind these 'events':
That is *genuinely* how the person in charge of making every important decision at AGS thinks (and, more importantly, directs the development team). There's no fixing that. Frazzini's departure simply opened a void for the next Frazzini to fill, and that's exactly what happened.
*Shrug*
Bezos and AGS just either don't get it or care.
