Disabling NVIDIA overlay worked for me. If that doesn't work for you, try disabling any and all overlays you have on.

i ended up updating my nvidia drivers, and deleting the cache. restarted, and game loaded like normal. didnt notice any longer load times.

bro, how come this NW game can't be opened again after yesterday's update. It's always stuck on the initial logo. It's useless to update frequently but the results are not satisfying

and
windows->start button->settings->app and features->New World-> uninstall and delete->clean disk

the game is broken. it's not hardware related as i have an extremely fast PC playing all new games on ultra with high FPS. i have like a 1 in 10 chance the game even gets to character screen. when it does load, it's all almost instant. only game this happens, ridiculous.

Ok I have been upset for 12 hours. and I am simply so fed up.
1. Getting support is impossible: known issue forever
2. after patch, my machine is getting BSOD. This is on an older Asus G50a, with gtx1070. (my newer rtx 3070 seems to not have this issue).

So the application do not have permission to run? i dont know what and why.

Based on my superior troubleshooting senses, it seem a permission related but I cannot understand what the hints are telling me. and where or how to fix this. A developer can probably just look at it and know what they did with the patch to cause this.

To further check my system, I loaded diablo4 etc. So New World being a cause of it all, not other games. I would have to rule the PC hardware out of this.

All forums are the same and the answers you get are the same - make sure your graphics and Windows drivers are up to date, verify the game files in Steam, reinstall the game or move to an ssd. What we all need is a fix not a wild guess as we all know this stuff, the game should load and we should be able to play it. There is no point arguing with each other or putting what spec PC you have because nobody cares. This is down to the people who develop the game and to be honest they don't care. Here is the way I manage to play New World 1- load the game up to 10 times and eventually you will get to the Amazon games part but it will be really laggy 2- Shut down the game and restart it again, this time it should work. This process can take up to an hour so not ideal but it's the only way I can play.

Your right amazon games is not worry about this issue. What there worry about is Creator Night which is on the 8/8 (tomorrow) there only concern is big streamers because thats what brings in players, they dont care about us small players having this sort of issues because we dont make them money. I hope all of the content creators for the 3v3 Creator night have issues like us and the event gets cancel due to this issue so they could fix it. Now i dont wish any downfall to New world because i love the game, i just want them to listen to the community and fix the issues they make every time they do an update. Lets hope it gets fix soon.

Welcome to business 101. Every business is this way and if you had one you would give the best service to your VIP's just the same. At my work we give everyone including the poor's free soda and chips. The rich customers get free 50 and 100 dollar bills on top. The poor's pay bills too but one VIP can drop an entire months payroll in a day. If you owned a business would you prefer to chase nickles or dollars? The more dollars the better the business becomes for everyone including the poor's.

I tried a FEW fixes suggested here and other places to fix getting stuck in the NW login screen. This only started for me about 2 days ago. What finally worked for me is this:

I'm using Windows 10 and I opened File Viewer and went here:
C:\Users\ YOURUSERACCOUNT NAME \AppData\Roaming\AGS\New World\savedata

Then I deleted the "savedata" file ... closed that and verified the integrity of the NW files ... completely shut down my computer and restarted.

I had ZERO lag logging on after doing that BUT ... deleting the "savedata" file resets your ingame settings to default, so IF there are some settings you've changed ... you may want to write those down before doing this. Otherwise, it's an entirely safe (and easy!) fix to try.

GL to all ... I KNOW how frustrating this issue is!
