Yeah replace the chat with a minimap and just burn the chat with fire.
Maybe games will finally start going back to the way they was instead of these boring follow the light trail to the next quest or objective.
Heck EQ didn't have a mini map or even a world map. It was from memory only and it's still the best mmorpg I've ever played and still is running today 20 years later.
Everquest was my first MMORPG and I loved it, not saying it was perfect but the hardness of that game was good. In this game I can't believe the amount of kids crying they need mounts in chat. For one it would make the map small and lets face it, we know once this game gets going and the new expansions bring in more territory then they will bring in mounts. This game does remind me of Everquest in some ways. Once fast travel was brought into EQ, it went down hill in my opinion.
After planes of power the game was nothing but a shell of a game. Poor druids and wizards where not needed anymore and the community died off since there was no need to actually speak to anyone anymore except a quick LFG .
NW is still very much a modern mmorpg but without the God awful dungeon finder stuff and unlimited fast travel and flying mounts it does have potential and a bit of that old school vibe.
I'm pleased so far.
make the compass smaller and put all crap on the compass on the mini map
You can actually see through it if you look hard.
