Not sure why you would want a moderator though. Usually brings conflict between the team and community in a poor game situation like this where it's not doing too well to put it short.
As for a new community manager it honestly doesn't matter either. With the previous community manager it didn't look like anything got done. Not saying he wasn't doing his job, he probably was but I don't think the main people at JP really read through or care much about global feedback. The feedback in question was about English translation btw and why I feel this way since it was left untouched.
But we probably still have one working. Just is either quiet lurking or doesn't use Steam forums anymore.
No official forums, official channels of communication being sOcIaL mEdIa with power hungry mods and fragile twitter dwellers that will ban you for asking a simple question or providing constructive feedback.. it's like how to kill an MMORPG 101 up in here.
But, looking at where Sega of America is based at, and moderated from, it's really no surprise.
Pair that with the abhorrent lack of content that's worth repeating and.. well, here we are.
Sadly, I don't think NGS has much of a future on this or JP side. Hate to be a doomsayer or something along those lines, but it's the cold, hard truth of the matter. Player count is likely less than 10000 daily, even with the additional PS4 players, and that's not nearly enough to keep a game of this magnitude alive for very long.
How the last fiscal quarter was profitable is beyond me; we must have literally rich whales playing. Makes me wonder if most of the profit came from the JP or NA side, to be honest.
But anyway. Maybe now that the PS4 port is actually done and over with we'll see an uptick in quality content and not just a dozen AC Scratches a month (despite those being inherently easier to create than real content) with half of the items being reused from previous Scratches.
To be honest i know a few people that would work for Sega while being ingame anyways and given a few AC as payment. I mean if Sega gives me some AC i would stay in town a few hours a week and ban people that post lewd pictures right away. If i am online anyways why not ?
Working for free ? For Sega ? How very Nintendo of you.
If you want to work for the community you need to permaban the current Director.
To give an example of how bad that update was, he wanted the Hero class to be the only viable class in the game in order to make it "easier" to balance the game. All other classes was left behind in terms of power and QoL. If you aren't a Hero, you are a hindrance to your party and yourself. The main story Episode was also the worst in the series. There was also a game mode that was introduced that no one liked and was left to rust with no QoL. If there was a bad idea or if there is something that shouldn't be done, he did it.
With NGS people had mix feeling about it since he was the director. Lack of content, polish, and short sightedness witnessed during launch reconform their doubts.
Is the moderation and community team from Global that bad? I've only heard of the drama they had with the Rappy Brust team and how they accused them of for a lack of a better word that comes to mind, hacks to find the location of Alpha Reactor Core.
Fighter and Gunner were still king in damage during the dawn of Hero. If parse was anything to go by, a competent gunner or fighter player still outdamaged a competent hero player. This was only true if you played with any elite teams back in pso2 JP.
For the most part, though, yes, it is true that hero basically killed class variety outside of techer, ranger, fighter, and gunner.
If Shiro and i talk about the currrent director you can see it as running Gag. I guess everyone here talking about that guy can be seen as running Gag by now.
