The PSU Clementine team that are working on the private server said they are working with the pre-NGS build. So it will have the correct lighting and will work on older computers.
There are plus and negatives to this though. The game will look better, but the old version struggled to handle multiple players on a screen at once. This isn't an issue with the current engine, base PSO2 runs better than ever.
My old pc was a 1060 6gb gpu and i5-7600k CPU, and PSO2 would push my CPU to 100% in lobbies. On the same hardware when NGS released, base PSO2 performed so much better.
I already explained how they can, but you purposely cut that out.
Wonder why?
i have absolutely 0 attachment to pso. i'm here because i get to be a cute girl fighting gigantic eldritch abominations with fun combat.

Because irrelevant ?
We are talking about a "Remake" not a "Reboot" so what you said applys by default. Its a requirement.
So. Yeah. Sorry that i didnt bother paying attention to your explaination what a "Remake" is because i already knew.
Ship 2 here is actual sorrow.
JP has always been better. After all thats the people Sega is making the game for. We global players are just pocket change on the sideline.
The servers being better, I don't, partly from my own experience in other games with lots of terrible and annoying Japanese players (like Castlevania Harmony of Despair, or worst-game-ever-made-and-I-want-the-year-I-spent-playing-it-back Final Fantasy 11), and partly from friends and family who played base on JP servers for years who often ran into terrible, annoying JP players.
Good and bad aren't mutually exclusive to any geographical playerbase.
Fun fact: Ship 2 JP used to be the home of English-speaking players, who later left for Global. Because it never had a large JP population to begin with, it became one of the emptier ships after the exodus, but still more populated than what you would find here, on top of having fewer of the English-speaking community's worst social outcasts because they went on to infest Ship 2 Global instead.
Oh, and this happened during one of the dead months last year.

JPonry players existing in FF11 doesn't mean they are everywhere in PSO2. You are letting your prejudice speak. JP PSO2 players are known to try to communicate in English when they encounter an English speaker. For a very long time the two of you were sharing the same server, and still do today, and if Sega and the players were against your presence they would have instabanned foreigners like Blue Protocol did. Even if you were being rude or insisted on speaking in your own language, they would flee to a different block before they would confront you about it.
Get out of here with that nonsense. At no point was I talking about JP players being rude to English players. I was very clearly talking about how, just as there are terrible and annoying players on our servers, there are terrible and annoying players in Japan, and everywhere. I saw that first hand in other games and I saw it when my friends and family were playing Base for a decade before migrating to Global, as I said before.
