That's why I had to make this thread, both have almost the same story, the difference is Xenoblade have everything that NGS should have, like a huge map to explore with alot of cool places, many types of monsters, collectables for crafting, and so on. imagine if xeno had NGS combat

Sega whent with the early-access mentality but they didnt have a roadmap and now they are doing the catch up with what the player base want and missing the mark everysingle time, every "new" content they release die in a week because of the "new" content, and now the game is just a broken mass without any "progression"

So this game is far from bad. XB X was by far one of the best Wii U games.

That said it's like comparing apples and oranges. NGS and XB X aren't at all the same game. They play differently and have entirely different plot. Some beats are the same, but the overlaying story is different.

Also you do know XB X isn't the first to do that style of open world right?

Both have exactly the same base to the story, and for the first like 5 chapter in XBX stay the same as with NGS, defending against the aliens while trying to find a technology to survive, be it a giant weapon or the giant pod with all humans, of course they change the plot when more is reveal, gameplay cant be compare they are both different genre one is action and the other is same-turn
