Doubt the censors will ever get removed though I'd love to be proven wrong on this one. And I assume it's not because of any NA petitions. After all, games like Tera evidenced that Americans didn't revolt upon seeing semi naked lolis. I do suppose, but I have no real proof, that the censor will remain because this version is global, and other regions could have an issue with said characters being allowed.

From what I understand, online interactions are not strictly accounted into the ratings system. I suppose what people do with their avatars may be included in such online interactions section.

True. I dont know if the interaction is for talking online or if seening peoples avatar go in to accounted too

If both are taken as "expression", then yes, they could be exempt from ratings. Again, I could be wrong, but I at least have seen these notices on online games, and on the other hand I've never seen a game switch ratings because some player decided to go to a stretch to make and show a phallus shaped object in a Teen rated game...

true but i think with the prevalence of it here it kinda makes sense if it just broke the rule here. I mean they've referenced in community posts, and in the comic several times how they know the community has a lot of degens. heck i'm 100% they even subtly alluded to the mods some use to take it even further beyond

that said again maybe this will free up the writers to actually pull some bigger guns now cause the rating limit is dead. I love and i miss the blood it used to have in spades. Maybe NGS can go full gears of war now lol. But in all honestly please fix the core loop above all. story might be picking up but they need a better core loop to make me comeback more than biannually, however i've become immune to hopium from snorting it too much so I won't hold my breath. if combat can't be fixed adopt some design philosophy from games with simpler combat like metroidvanias and other dungeon crawlers. 99% of enemies can be beaten in your sleep, let me use my brain by giving me challenges elsewhere.

It would actually make sense that some things people do could contribute to the rating. Again, I don't know the details so I'm shooting blind here. But if a dev creates something in game and he looks at it and thinks a player can interpret it as this or that, then it would make sense to add that to the rating.

As for blood, I'm trying to remember if the original Dreamcast PSO had it. My bad vague memory wants to tell me yes, it did. But I cannot say for sure. Adding it to NGS wouldn't be a problem, but I don't think we'd see it in too high volumes. Then again and aside from the obvious animal themed mobs, do the main enemies we fight even bleed?
