but I am here for the dress up simulator.
so which MMO doesnt?
You know the game that was out for a decade prior to NGS? You may have heard of PSO2. It had a cliche, but still well written story. It had a few different ways to play the game, you didn't have to always be doing the same thing. You could do one of many different types of "kill enemies", or you could just chill in the casino. Events were special missions with real character in the layout and music with rewards that were silly and fun.
Compared to original PSO2, NGS is a major step backwards in being an actual game.
I find NGS more enjoyable, my only gripe with NGS is that I mained Soaring Blades in base both Bouncer and Etoile, NGS Soaring Blade gameplay is closer to Etoile Double Saber.
Besides NGS had these feature of special mission and real character which has layout, music, reward, silly, and fun which are all personal opinion that I too was more fond in NGS.
Casino will eventually come, but I spent most of my time chatting random topics, editing fashion in the salon, or window shopping accesories.
Also that shop search function hasnt been fixed for the last 13 years.
Ignorance. Sheer ignorance. Did you forget how they massacred PSO2? The graphics are terrible compared to before the "update". They ruined the economy as well.
They stopped EQs, stopped concerts...
If PSO2 was being cared for properly, it WOULD have more players than NGS.
So which part of your opinion are facts?
The economy depends on where players are selling, its the players fault for those prices.
It did for the last 8 years in the Japanese servers, and 1 year speed run in GLOBAL servers.
It only failed with the Pay2win updates in the Asian servers.
Eh, the only reason there aren't more people playing base game over NGS is because Sega knew that the base game had to be neutered for NGS to have any chance at success. They ruined PSO2 completely. Graphics, EQs, concerts, economy, end game gear more difficult to achieve... All ruined by their choice. Sega beat PSO2 into a coma, threw an oxygen mask on and called it good.
What are you talking about? base PSO2 already had a 8 year success as one of the primary franchise title of SEGA.
Take a deep breath and go back to read the context of the discussion I thought we were having. We're talking about NGS now, compared to other MMOs. I used PSO2 as it was prior to the NGS "upgrade" as the comparison. Your counter argument was "why aren't there more PSO2 players than NGS", I explained how they neutered PSO2 and that is why there are not more players.
Why do I even need to debate you? I could just debate myself and get a more coherent conversation.
No this thread title is about the Slayer class but you wanted to turn this into another 1000 other NGS bad topic.
NGS is a great game, more than I ever ask for, except for Soaring Blades gameplay is sh _it
As for Slayer... kinda lukewarm, but it's warming up.
It's kind of annoying how you basically have to treat it like hero by constantly alternating PAs while hitting left click mid-PA to actually maximize damage and resource gen for Unleashed Rage. The sheer amount of inputs necessary to play the class well are too much for these old fingers.
There's a lot of nuance in Slayer's gameplay, arguably more than Luster had.
Luster was more simple or like brain dead, because I personally just set the Luster PA to random.
Slayer require more attention to what you are pressing, it actually reminds me of playing GunZ 1.
Did the dark falz lake UQ with my level 63 slayer earlier, not bad but kinda squishy/penalty due to being under leveled but able to get S rank at the end. Now level 70, so trying to get those SL-EX-CUBE for add-on skill rolls... But I'll do it another day.
