In that case, it would have class skills, however, certain skills would still have to be disabled. Can you think how hard it would be to defeat a Hu/Et in PvP with that Auto-mate+damage reduction? Either that, or ban any healing effects whatsoever. In any case, I think that if we could have a "duel" game mode it would be an interesting addition to the game, imagine two players in a battle of pure skill to see who fights better.
On the other hand, I also like Alshian's concept, as in: you have a team of players, and the team which kills most monsters/gets most points from killing monsters, wins. A riploid race also sounds fun, it could either have a Mario Cart-like concept, or maybe just a race with a lot of traps on the way.
1. ARKS League is a thing but no one cares about it. i mean maybe if they start updating the content sure, but it's kinda hard to force people to tackle newer content without offending/alienating someone. Especially if alliances have different compositions, or different raison d'etre.
2. Battle Lobby exists but no one cares about it.
3. Even if Duel Mode were to exist, that would mean entire systems have to be rebalanced just to fit Duel Mode, especially when NGS skills were made with PvE in mind. On a playerbase who made #1 and #2 a thing. Other class identities are entirely made on certain qualities that make them either: immune to damage, typically via dodging; deal massive amount of damage (burst damage); gain insane amount of elevation, etc. There is no inbetween this. You're simply going to end up making an entire new mode using entirely new mechanics that take people away from the core mechanic of 32 players beating up a giant monster, and again, #1 and #2 applies.
PvP has to be built-in from the ground up in order to work, and PSO2 NGS isn't built with PvP in mind.
Everyone there is asking for PvE servers, because the game is full of toxic griefers.
Don't forget that Pso2 got open marketplace where people can buy skins with real cash and sell them for in game currency.
If the game had forced open world PvP everyone would say that the game is p2w and it would be no different than all the other MMO's.
The reasons as to why Pso2 is a better game than other MMO's, is because there is no forced PvP and f2p players don't give a crap about how much money whales spent on it.
Also the game has A LOT of emotes and skins when other games (even popular ones) lacks them.
Imagine grinding and a top geared player comes out from nowhere and kill you everytime you respawn lol.
Battle ship isnt as dead as people believe I get 2-3 matches a day at odd times still. Maybe large scale PvP is far fetched (even though Black Desert format of Alliance vs Allience instance i think is possible)
Some form of quick match would be a good opportunity to add more variety to a fresh format.
In any case I don’t see them implementing it untill we have atleast 3 more classes in NGS, so no ofcourse I dont expect PvP on launch, i have strong feeling they will add something a year in or around that.

There is not top 100 last I checked only about top 40s?
Anyways its annoying that sometimes I can't find matches at all when ever I had the free time to play pso2 and would like to get Stargems.
I'm only after the stargems pvp itself is annoying in pso2 when other games done a batter job in making pvp.
games that try to please both audiences fail at it, remember that the things you requested require resources to be diverted to make them happen.

First of all the point of this topic is to find out concrete info. Opinions are great ofcourse, just thought it would be a cool idea to bring up PvP since no one else has, PvP as IN for END game. (not Required or "forced" PK Linage II style)
PSO2 End game is vanity, works in Instance games, doesn't always works very well in OW mmo lay out. I will be the first one to admit that I love decking out my cute character just like anyone esle. But besides running the same content over (Trigger and Divide 10000 of times) vanity by itself is very stale end game by itself.
Second as some of you may know from my other posts here - I'm not going to be even playing NGS personally, I want to run through all content PSO2 has, see what they bring thats still missing from JP version and move on. I have many Open W MMOs with AND without PvP that I want to play.
Phantasy Star is the only Instance mmo I've played in years, it has no competition its class, thats what interested me, so once that quality is gone and PSO2 dies, NGS is just another fantasy anime mmo to me, as it has plenty of competition once its switches format.
So to me per-se it doesnt matter what direction NGS will go, I made topic based on my long MMO experience and when I see a potential for success I point it out.
Many of you almost take this personally like "we don't want your PvP here" manner lmao I'm NOT advocating for PvP I'm trying to find out and so far no one has any info, just opinions, which is FINE
We understand that you're not forcing PvP to anyone(at least i am). We're just stating our opinion about why PvP doesn't work and might not work.
Sorry the question seems kind of out of placed so it appears you are asking for opinions on a suggestion.
