Nowadays Warframe etc 180G+ without DLC is a standard.
PSO2 is not an indie game, maybe look into getting SSD i mean they are affordable enough now, its 2021.
You can even get 4Terra Baraccuda HDD for like under 400$.
Just my 2c
PSO2 was released first on the PC and came out the Vita about a year later. I can't recall what size it was around Japanese launch. I don't recall it being 67 GB though. I probably still have the Episode 2 release on a PC in storage somewhere that if it's really bugging me, will find out.
MMOs in general feel like they've gotten a lot bigger in file size.
World of Warcraft used to be about 4 GB around launch. And a few years ago when I last checked, over 100 GB.
Edit: Just went to the Steam page and saw the 80 GB storage. Not sure why I said 67 GB.
PSO2 was around 15 GB at launch, at most 20 GB. That was 2012.
I thought I might have been getting confused with PSU's file size. That 15~20 GB sounds more familiar for PSO2 now that you're mentioning it.
This game is, by no means, a mere handheld port.
Also, the Xbox version is indeed based off of the Vita version of the game. It looks ugly until you turn the shadows down to 1 or 2 iirc because of the downgraded effects.

The XBox One version is not based on the vita version, period.
