PSO2: NG Install before Jun 9th

I want to start PSO2:NG but still isn´t on Steam Store and the launch is on 9th.
Do I need to 1st install the actual PSO2 then install NG or must I wait to lauch PSO2:NG on Steam page ?

It's still unknown how the EN version will be handled, but for the JP PS4 version, the initial download is going to become NGS and the current PSO2 is going to become an optional DLC, it's likely the same will happen to the Steam version.

If the Steam version ends up being like JP PS4, expect the replacement from PSO2 to NGS to happen during the maintenance. This maintenance should start around monday or tuesday, since it was mentioned that it may last for around 1 or 2 days.

Steam just launches the Sega/PSO2 DRM, so i'd assume it will download the new one from there too. Supposedly you can even change over to NGS from inside the old lobbies in-game.

NGS does not require PSO2 installed so downloading that is a waste of time.

Guy just wants to play NGS, I am pretty sure a new player doesnt want to waste time in a game they are not going to play to get $10 worth of SG.

Well, I would agree. For me. Cause $10 is nothing.

However, you may find one day that many gamers care a lot about $10 and would spend a week to get that much in game currency.

Also, you can get a lot more than 10 bucks worth of SG, but, erm. Fudge that. No thanks. I gave up after about an hour of speeding through the story. ^_^ I got 6 bucks worth and said, hell nah. I hear you can get 43 dollars worth though. But since I never even got out of episode one and got bored (on skip) i gave up.

Beside that's not even what I'm talking about, what I refer to is the login reward. Just by login into pso2 every day till NGS release you get 30SG each day (7 day total), today (or tommorrow)you get another 44 from pso2 day, then there's also new player reward, that's another 50
So that's 300+SG just by doing absolutely nothing

Downloading over 70GB and logging into a game you don't play every day for 300SG is quite a lot actually. Is certainly not "nothing". Especially if these people have limits on their downloads and/or HDD space.

It is easy for you who already has the game installed and playing. But its honestly getting old how many current PSO2 players are actively encouraging people to download 70GB of PSO2 they don't need without giving them the full story that it is 100% not needed.

Beside, NGS contents aren't much to keep you play long, so if anything, occasionally jumping over pso2 to get thousands of free SG is not a bad thing while waiting for the contents update in winter

Easier what lol, I'm planning to redownload the whole game on steam (to stop using Tweaker), that's 100gb total by next week and I only have 30mpbs bandwidth, yet it only took me an overnight download, it's practically nothing

HDD? You know how cheap that thing is? If you say SSD I can understand but HDD, what!!?
You seem to confused patch with intitial download, a patch come often which make big patch a hassle to everyone
While intitial download only big at the start, and 70gb is really nothing when games these day are often around this size, some even double that
And what time to waste when you literally put it through overnight download, when you spent your time sleeping?

And for internet connection, you literally picked the worst counterargument if that's true because I'm from vietnam here, a less developed country yet I don't have a limit, even the connection speed where I called high speed here is call standard overthere

And I don't get where you get this notion everyone recommend without telling anything?
This have been spreading by everyone since benchmark release that NGS does not need pso2 (Though keep in mind that it's only based on PS4 version distribution, it's not confirmed everywhere) the only reason people recommend downloading pso2 is for a reason either to get some cosmetics or SG, or just simply play for fun, otherwise just wait for NGS. But why the hell you claim that everyone encourage download pso2 without a reason is beyond me
