I do the same thing but I put them a good ways from my base so raiders won't destroy them.
I would make sure at least 1 tree and 1 or 2 tree stumps remain near those traps. Then I would build 40+ rabbit traps inside my base.
This was a few versions ago, worked great. No clue if that still works but I'll be playing the new beta soon so I will find out asap.
you mean rabbit still spawn even though the door is close?
and even the map not showing rabbit, but the trap still worked?
if yes i will do this
Also I read that you can throw a carrot, how do you do this?
And do rabbits respawn ? I hunt much of them with the bow and do not have the feeling they respawn. That's why I hope the traps work without the need to see them on the map.
Equip the carrot then hold the target button to aim and then hit the shoot button to throw
The base that had the problem was around one of the new poi's (the rangers tower). I did not test if this was the problem. It could have been the world gen or something else.
