So.. is this game dead?

I'm getting tired of the game putting me up against bots and making me feel like i know how to play, i'd rather get my ass beat to see where i'm truly at. I think i have ever only encountered 2 or 3 players on my team, but the rest of the lobby were just bots, so have all the matches i had so far.

I came back to this game since i had a random itch to play it and back then i had only played for a little bit but i realised how cool of a game it is and wanted to deep dive into it, but playing against brain dead bots all the time gets boring fast. Is the game dead?

You are forced to play with bots for a while, around 10 or so games. Then you'll get more players until you get into the pool with the rest of the players.

I don't understand why people can just speedrun the bot if bots are way too easy for them and just grind A-Coin and capitalize on it and even buy more characters.

These bots wouldn't take Tree of Life so that's one. Heck buy a battlepass and do the weekly mission with the bot lobby and profit even more. By the time you face actual players, you have more characters and skins to show off by then.

I came back for 1.0, having my last games be since Season 2. I've not had any ran into a match filled with bots, unless i'm asking for it (playing it at late 3AM PST in NA get that). This bot thing seems to only apply to literal new players just coming in from 1.0, and having to fight the "bot matches" before going to queue into real matches. Same ♥♥♥♥ was in Paladins, and maybe many other niche PvP games.

After the limit, you should fight real players for sure.

Does having the battle pass allow you to do quests through bots only? I dont like playing against players and the game is somewhat fun and thinking of getting a BP.

Yes you can if you're queueing NORMAL MATCHES that put you into BOTS (Newbie Bracket).

If you deliberately go VS AI mode or PRACTICE MODE and do battlepass then no, it doesn't.

Then there is no point in me continuing to play this game. Mobas are somewhat fun but i dont want to deal with players down the line and waste money into a BP that i will not be able to complete cause of it.

Yes, game is non-viable. They nerfed Tazia. Whatever is rewarding in this game, is nerfed instantly. And opposite, Sissela is garbage for how long? Million years, and still zero buffs.

Yes it is needed.

Eternal Return is a not a MOBA, Eternal Return is a battleroyale game genre where the last surviving team wins. example: PUBG, Battlerite, Naraka, Fornite BR, Apex Legneds.

MOBA games genre requires the opposing teams to destroy a key structure in the enemy base in order to win and defend your key structure. example: Smite, Pokemon Unite, DOTA, Gigantic, Deadlock.

In Eternal Return in order to win, you have to survive as the last team. You dont destroy or defend a key base structure.

The community tags are there placed by the player community, because this game looks like League of Legends many players incorrectly tagged this game a MOBA.
