there's really two kinds of Sua Tank and Amp. Tank is straight forward, you wan't to weave autos between abilities while hitting your Q > E combo and using W to out trade other auto based chars (Luke, Fiora, Yuki) with the blind. R can go either way but using it to double up a Q is generally a good bet especially once you're on top of someone already.
Amp is the same but more burst and more reliant on combos. You still want to auto but your main priority is having a nice CDR to chain CC some people. you basically want to go Q > E > "Q" > R with the "Q" being a moment where people can get out if you don't enough CDR and don't aim Q properly. If you DO have enough CDR you can probs do something nutty like Q > E > Q > R > E > Q which is basically a death sentence for even a Tank Chiara.
The main hurdle for Sua is A.) Fishing for that initial Q as it's quite an annoying skillshot to hit the sweetspot and B.) her massive SP costs. So remember accordingly.
In terms of if she's a Solo or Duo/Squad char she's good in Solos but is actually quite fantastic in Duo/Squads too! The chaos of team modes helps you get Q stuns more often and can allow you to just chain CC someone while your team wails on them.
Now for the matchups you said you struggle with.
Luke: Luke hasn't been oppressive since the middle of Season 1. He's not bad but he's a notorious new player stomper as he has a really strong early game but falls far late game unless he gets MKB and even then he isn't as powerful as he used to be. The most important thing about Luke is Dodge. His. Q. it's Luke's primary engage tool and without it he cannot chase you, period.
You don't want him landing it in fights either as it gives his autos some big lifesteal making him easily out trade you in an auto fight. Generally speaking you actually win against Luke as long as you follow that no. 1 rule as your W if you hit it on someone is the best auto counter. It blinds them and makes them physically incapable of autoing which, surprise that's who Luke is. It's best to use it when his mop is glowing that means his autos are empowered so you can just deny him even more damage. His R is also a really easy thing to dodge, it has a big windup so just side step really.
Shoichi: This man is a bit more complicated. Shoichi is a feast or famine assassin, if he doesn't snowball he just won't win the game. If you see him early you can just ignore him and deny him kills, you got the mobility for it. If not however your main goal is to watch out for his Ult (the ability where he places 4 daggers around him). The man is INCREDIBLY reliant on his Ult to just burst you and has little kill pressure without it. If you find him without Ult fight him, if he has take caution.
His ability to jump to a nearby dagger makes him annoying asf to land a Q on so try to predict where he'll go and place the Q there. If you know he's going to jump on a dagger, place the Q on it. The man's squishy so a decent CC combo will kill him.
Alex: He's quite strong atm but the recent nerfs to both him and his weapon make him less oppressive. He's basically the same as Luke, he autos so use your W against him. The main issue with Alex is his Camo so you won't immediately see him coming. Alex's plan is simple, run at you with 2H, Q and auto you to death. Once you see him lunge at you (that'll be his Q) put your own Q on top of yourself to CC him and then go with the CC chain per normal.
The problem here is that if Alex has his 2H Weapon Skill he can parry out of your combo if you don't have enough CDR which is bad and follow it up with an E to get him some distance. Bonus points if he then switches to Pistol and uses his range abilities to gtfo even faster. During an Alex chase (or if you're being chased BY Alex) it's best to save your W for his own W the one that puts a mine that sucks you in. If you use W on yourself you ignore CC.
