I really want to like this game, but the backtracking is unbearable. dying sends you back to the start of the dungeon, health is scarce, and you can only switch characters at save points—even though different characters are required for different obstacles.

Apparently you eventually unlock free character switching, but why is such a basic QoL feature locked so far into the game? frustrating design.
