A good retro metroidvania.

Must play metroidvania. Ignore time played, I've got 100% on two save files on Switch. It looks like this game might be clunky like an NES game often is, but it's not. The would design is amazing, the death mechanic is awesome, progress is fulfilling, and upgrades are pretty plentiful. I wouldn't say this is quite as good as the few peak metroidvanias like Hollow Knight and Metroid Dread, but it is almost as good. If it looks like it might be good to you and you like metroidvanias get it; you'll love it.

p.s. if you haven't played the demo (that isn't on steam?) you need to, especially if you have already played the full game. It's probably the best demo I've ever seen. They altered the first couple whole areas of the game to create a mini metroidvania full of secrets with items in completely different places than the full game. It's a really cool preview of what's to come.
