No English dub!!

I support Koei Tecmo's decision to stop dubbing this franchise.

I'm buying this game day one.

Reasons why I don't like English dub, even as an option:

1. Because English dub always come with bad, inaccurate translations.

When a game (or movie, drama, anime) gets dubbed in English, most of the time the scripts will be altered to match the dub script, and most translators will use the dub script as subtitles (also known as "dubtitles"). So even if you choose to use the original Japanese audio, you'll get bad subtitles that don't match what the characters say.

2. Because English dub comes with heavy localization.

Japanese honorifics, unique nouns, and basic Japanese words (IE: sakura = cherry blossom, katana = sword, ramen = noodle) will be localized, because it'd be weird to have English voice actors say these words (with terrible pronunciation).

There you have it, the reasons why many people hate English dubs, even as an option.

As long as they make the jokes actually make sense.
Nothing is worse than 1/1 translation in a game with puns so the jokes just ends up flat.

If you dont like english dub, then switch it to ♥♥♥ dub, you have a option to switch it, plus, their localizations are even worse then english dub ones. ♥♥♥ dub only doesnt make a game better, it makes it harder for newcomers to come there, then it sell worse then that. because ♥♥♥ dub even if you like it can be annoying with 10 year old Japan kid voices, almost every game people play are in english,

those lower sales will show that those who play atelier with ♥♥♥ dub in the west are a minority and you are a minority,

Japanese kid voices are cute.

When they Eng dub those girl characters, they have some valley girl accent or west coast girl accent. It's way more annoying.

Also dude, while there are cases of bad inaccurate translations in ♥♥♥ games, i disagree with english dubs always come with them, with or without them, theres going to be bad inaccurate translations, like blue reflection screenshot i found where a upperclassman Hoshino said something, and the subtitles are like this, Oshima Thats not it Give it the old hyakuretsu... More oraora and Jump force where vegeta asked trucks to tell him in plain English when it should be plain Japanese because theres no english dub there and Dynasty warriors and samurai warriors games when you defeat a officer when theres no english dub, the english lines dont match up the japanese dub, they always say when translated enemy officer defeated or something.

Its fine to skip honorfics in translations because it always sound stupid when its mixed with english.

Well actually, it's always better to have choices. But KT's reasoning is due to the franchise's lack of finacial support, hence why instead of providing English dubs, they're desperately selling separate costumes that should already be in the game

but they are locking old characters behind 3 season passes, this is not a first time atelier has this, costumes are fine but thats not a way to get a finacial support for a franchise, this only makes it worse, they are killing the series with their greed and lazy
