Can you use a trainer more than once?
I am confused, the wiki says they can only be used once, and unless it was a bug... could swear I used one more than once, which is it? If the answer is no... Im gonna have to start working on min-maxing my Skills and that is gonna be a huge headache x_x

No, each trainer can be used once.
But there are several trainers for each skill.

na youl find loads of em doe. and you dont need to midmax you can respect and then buy all the trainers later or when you have time. its not nearly as stressfull as you suspect. they are also well placed and with time you will know all the locations it specifies i had 0 trouble metagameing the skill at anypoint

Not more than once, no . Unless it is changed in re-reckoning, but I highly doubt that .

Well not 100% true. If you have racial + to the skill, you can lock yourself out of using low trainers (requireing 0-3 skills), you can easly block yourself because respec don't reset books and trainers.
So if you have +2 Smithing,, use a smithing book, add some skills and use 4-6 Trainer, you won't be able to use 0-3 trainer for Smithing even after respec.
So if you want to max every skill (it is not necessery) keep that in mind.

Is there anyway to know which ones I already used then? Or I have to check them one at a time and make list >_<

Where you able to get every skill by the end of the game? I only been spending points I like without realising u dont get enough... already maxed out 2, but with 30 skill points left from lvling, thats only enough to get about half the skills maxed by the end :( I know there is a few trainers but they only work once, there is only like 1-2 per skill rank (plus a single skill book)... thats not nearly enough to get them all, unless new DLC added few more?

You can of course check KOA Wiki for the locations for each of them .

Ad 1 No, you can't check it in game, you have to keep track yourself.
Ad 2 I answered in a post above.

Ah gotcha, well... I guess if I do end up not maxing out everything, I can always respec if I need to do stuff like crafting gems... just gonna be super annoying.

wit hDLC you will get additional books. In the meantime I have the skill tree full maxed out, so dont worry.
VeraelHasta Dec 17, 2021 @ 10:53am
I just remembered this as well. There are additional points from Dead Kel DLC (you get +2 skills after regaining the keep) and also some additional trainers. SO yeah, you will be able to max everything even if you miss a few trainers.

Do you know if its only for specific skills? (like the previous DLC only had books and trainers for some skills) anyways its not such a big deal anymore... I calculated:

I lvl 20 and all my skills are at rank 6 by using trainers/balancing my skill points, I also messed up an used some skill books too early, but its okay since I need only 36 skill points to max out everything. I still got 12 skills points to get from final tier trainers, and 5 from skill books from main game.... that means that I would max out at lvl 39 (40 used to be the cap) and would have atleast 11 leftover skill points with the new lvl cap... and exactly enough points to max out the new skill tree they said they would add...

Anyone know what the new skill tree is?
VeraelHasta Dec 17, 2021 @ 11:20am
New skill tree is for newest DLC mechanic only, so you won't need it until you actually reach the new DLC.
I think he meant there are also books and trainers in Dead Kel and/or Teeth of Naros DLC.

In the Fatesworn I didn't see trainers nor books for old skills so far.

May I ask what is the new mechanic that requires its own skill tree? And if there are no new books/trainers... then as I said, you only have very little room for error if you plan to max out all skill trees.

Dunno how you calculated because it doesn't seem like it. Without skills from Dead kel and Teeth of Naros I have enough skill points from base game to max out all skills with possibly 1 spare point. So you have some error in your calculations.

New skill affects Chaos Portals, how easy it is to spot and defeat them. Dunno how much it affects anything other than just marking portals near you/on map.
VeraelHasta Dec 17, 2021 @ 1:16pm
4 skillpoints from race
40 from lvls 1-40
36 from trainers in base game
10 from books in base game

3 from Dead Kel DLC Trainers
2 from Dead Kel Twists of Fate

1 from skill book in Fateweaver DLC
10 points from lvls 41-50

Which gives you 90 points in base game, additional 5 from Dead Kel and 11 from Fateweaver and increased lvl cap.
So 106 points in total for 10 skills.

I calculated this with wiki. Which is weird because I have 7 spare skill points, not 6. No idea what is missing in these numbers.
