Why is the elf Alyn Shir dressed in a prostitutes uniform?
Doesn't exactly ruin the game for me or whatever. It's just weird how she is the only person in the game I've seen dressed as such.

that's the g-string of invulnerability and the adamantium bra, best armor in the game!

but yeah it's a bit funny that she is the only one, including player armor.

Actually there is another I have seen in a similar outfit. A vendor in Moon Camp. Pity it's not an armour set for players..

I think its basically a Rogue outfit. Rogue outfits are usually the skimpier ones in these types of games.

Many women are depicted wearing revealing armors/clothing on fantasy illustrations. Let's take a famous artist Luis Royo for example. As people have also stated above, it's a typical rogue outfit for many fantasy games. The term "prostitute" has nothing to do with revealing clothing in a fantasy setting. In fact it has nothing to do with clothing at all. Sorry you're still stuck in such yokel mentality. My condolences.

Marketing for adolescent boys, basically. There are hundreds of games that do exactly the same thing. "How do we get the kids to buy the game? I know! Skimpy outfits and boobs so huge female characters look like they're smuggling a pair of hump-backed whales through airport customs by stuffing them up their blouses! Genius! Let's go with that!" :steamfacepalm:

I'd be insulted, but I haven't been an adolescent boy for quite some time. :steamhappy:

In-game lore states that Dokkalfar (Dark-Elf, of which Alyn Shir is) clothing is revealing because of religious doctrine; though mrwibble essentially gives the real-world reason behind moves like that. What really makes Alyn unique is her body tattoos, which no other character has due to her unique character model.

Ah, yes. Only adolescent boys can admire works of art where women are scantly clad. You're clearly insulted, otherwise you wouldn't have created such a silly passive-aggressive post.

While I do prefer armor that makes at least some sense, there's a place for every style. You don't have to like it, but you also don't need to relegate (falsely) a style you don't care for to a group of people that you feel are beneath you.

I wasn't aware of that, as I don't read everything in the game. Thx for the info...

Assassin's and such often wear equipment like that in fantasy games. Nothing new. If anything its more surprising that male characters in similar roles with similar backgrounds dont often wear outfits similar to that one.

I agree with your thoughts, more characters in this game should look like that.

I didn't know prostitutes wore uniforms. Interesting.

Spoken like a person, who has probably never seen a prostitute or probably never been to the beach. Your puritanism is showing, mate.

That's how elves dress. Have you never seen a real elf? Go outside once in a while, nerd.

You should probably stop attributing erroneous beliefs and world-views to people based solely on facetious posts on Steam game forums. It makes you look pretentious. No one's insulted, Skippy. You seem to have a stick up your butt, though. :steamhappy:

Seems to be a Dokkalfar thing. I don't know the Lore that well, but it seems like it's common practice for Dokkalfar to wear revealing clothing, even for males. Like even in the character creation screen the female Dokkalfar has the most revealing clothing. And in Gorhart, there's a Dokkalfar healer there who also wears revealing clothing. You see several Dokkalfar males that wear revealing clothing as well.
