It’s okay. Not a terrible game, but not a great one either. Definitely is my least favorite in the reboot Shadow Warrior trilogy.

The satisfying sword combat from the first two games has been sidelined and dumbed down in favor for the gunplay which is aping Doom 2016/Eternal pretty hard. The moment to moment gunfights were fun and are the best thing about Shadow Warrior 3, but became very tedious and repetitive as the game went on due to a lack of variety and just didn’t feel as satisfying as the latest Doom games.

Another disappointing aspect was the lack of exploration for finding secrets that were present in the first two games as well. Instead we get a lot of wall running and platforming in between the arena fights which are mind numbingly dull.

The worst thing about Shadow Warrior 3 is the humor. Dear God! The humor in this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ groan worthy. The first two games had a nice blend of being serious and juvenile, but this game throws out the serious tone all together and goes full on bonkers. I wouldn’t mind the new direction if the writing was actually funny……… ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it isn’t! The writing in this game is very “tismy” and Marvel-esque. And worst of all, it’s constantly in your face, As Lo Wang never shuts his damn mouth up and constantly yaps throughout the game. No offense to Mike Moh, but his performance as Lo Wang is just cringey and the developers firing Jason Liebrecht because he’s white was a dumb move.

Visually I have to say Shadow Warrior 3 looks quite good as it’s visually pleasing due to good art direction. Lo Wang’s redesign is ass tho. He looks like a Great-Value brand Star-Lord now and having his hair grown out is hearsay. He should be bald, I say! BALD BALD BALD!!!

I had fun with Shadow Warrior 3 even though it felt shallow overall, but after completing it I don't think I have any desire to replay it. The campaign is only 5-6 hours long and there isn’t much to do after you beat the game.

I would say I got my money’s worth since I only paid 5.99$ for it. However this game is sure as ♥♥♥♥ ain’t worth full price.

Story\Dialogue:
- Simple yet effective storyline set in post-apocalyptic feudal Japan, blending historical events with fictional elements.
- Well-written dialogue that both keeps to story going and gives character and humour to each scene\transition to the next arena.

Graphics:
- Visually stunning environments and character designs.
- Smooth animations enhance the fluidity of combat
- During combat, both the UI and level of detail in the characters and environment can seem somewhat jarring.

As you Play:
- Game is better played in 2 hour max stints so as not to overwhelm you.
- Normal difficulty you can get away without strategy and is the best to play for casual players. Hard is better for people that can get easy bored by this as it requires strategy and skill with each weapon, enemy and movement on the arena.
- Familiarize yourself with each enemy, how to defeat them and their upgrades.
- Make special use of your chi to push enemies into spikes and the swords heavy attack (once upgraded) to gain resources from weaker enemies.

game fell off hard ong ♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimizations, unbearable cutscenes stutter, prob been this ♥♥♥♥ for years too till the day u guys arent lazy to fix this ♥♥♥♥ I aint playing.

Gets things from the doom game design right

The Shadow Warrior franchise by Flying Wild Hog has a bit of a identity crisis. It seems with each sequel the game is something else from what you expected in the previous version. This time the devs made SW3 a DOOM clone. It feels and plays exactly like the newer DOOM games. You platform your way around the map until you get enclosed in an arena and fight till you kill all the monsters, rinse and repeat till the game ends. Gone is the open world, gone is the looter shooter from SW2. If you were expecting more of that, well sorry you get DOOM Eternal instead. If you played either DOOM 2016 or DOOM Eternal then you know what you'll be getting into.

The game is short clocking in around 6 hours to beat it. I like that they moved away from the Looter Shooter open world game play from SW2 but was hoping for a better story. Their first game in the series is the better game in my opinion. But at least Lo Wang is still funny in this one. I found my self laughing at his one-liners and jokes.

Over all I would wait till it is on sale. Its a DOOM clone that is fun but way to short and with one of the worst story lines of either of the three games.

Although this game is about swords, you don't want it to run CHOPPY.

While the game's concept is ON POINT, your enjoyment may be BLUNTED if your PC budget was SHUNTED.

This is a game where there's just a lot of visual feedback, both from enemies and environment. Stuttering frames will greatly kill your experience so have some hardware for this one.

Akin to ninja Doom, and I'll definitely come back for a sequel, which my one-liners above certainly qualify me to write.
