First 2 games were also very very different. And now this.
And sadly with every title the devs wanted to copy the currently most popular franchise.
With SW2 it was Borderlands. With this one, it is clearly a Doom aim.
I get it, forcing people to constant "glory kills" and "weapon swapping" and "running gunning" looks cool on marketing videos and streamers can create good content with it. But not everyone like to play this hippidi hoppidi.
The original was a Duke Nukem clone.
The first remake was a very good unique attempt at bringing oldschool shooters back.
The 2nd game was a borderlands clone.
this game is a doom Eternal clone.
no 2 games in the series are anything alike, so how is any one more "true" a Shadow Warrior game than the other?
I really like the remake trilogy, so I'm not saying they are BAD, its just hard to know what to expect, when they reinvent themselves with every game.
This is a non-question, as the original Build Engine SW is the "true" SW.
I agree that this game was far more of a platformer and far less of a shooter. For me the lack of coop was the biggest disappointment. That's a huge step back.
