You can thank activision/Blizzard
Companies are doing this to promote "live services", and they also do this to prevent "piracy".
I would only assume the early access is online only to farm player data to help develop the game?
I read that in Jim Sterling's voice.
Disappointed to learn you can't play offline in the early access phase.
I also worry that the offline mode will be not as fully featured as the online mode in teh full release. They have that battle pass thing that you unlock stuff with and that's probbaly online only. It probably won't have lan support either so when they shut down the servers good bye Torchlight 3 multiplayer.
I miss the days when we owned our games and not the devs/publishers...
You could just read the store page and youd of known single player is slated for final release.
"The full version will also contain the ability to play the game in Single Player mode, which will not require an internet connection.”
That was taken out of the early access part on the store page.
