host loosing connection at 500m is kindof a bummer....
I can be sympathetic to loosing connection at 500m as an experienced player who holds/has held world record distances on our highscores. Although we have a specific team, some of us are actually on opposite sides of the world. There are issues with high ping at times but it is not too much of a burden.
500m can be a lot for some people but as I became more experienced, that line has gradually shifted.
would probly take the devs 2 hours to write that code.
(also, 500m isnt much for some, but for others its their world record and it is very infuriating to loose the game of your life to a simple dc....)
Host migration is resource heavy on the servers and comes with a lot of cost. Players have asked about such a feature before and the Devs have explained it cannot be implemented for these reasons.
Steam does not have servers for developers and games that have multiplayer features (unless the game is developed by Valve) so most games with multiplayer features probably come with a cost. They only provide the game store and the social aspects of gaming (friends, chat, community discussions etc.).
Ideally the host should be able to kick all other online players from the game so they can finish off the level with the robot and save.
