What is the maximum number of Days?
And what happens if you reach that maximum number? Do you get sent to Day 1, and if you do, what do you keep?

There is no limit as far as I know.

I was about to ask this.
so the days are not scripted levels?
And the num of days left on missions are just a way of keeping old missions gone and new ones cycling in?

the 1 / 2 days ya see on locations is all random just for supplies that companions will get, but the story won't continue until you catch up on the red icon ones

I'm on day 30 haven't done a heist yet. Missing some clues

Killed Olgas husband on accident so I don't go near her lol but I might have to in order to get more clues but I'm not revising any memories just because.

You can play for infinity despite the NAR scientists at Pripyat Central, near the Ferris wheel telling you that the zone will be consumed by chernobylite in 30 days...

oh good! i am trying on extreme and was planning on focusing on gardening to build up daily food/herb/mushroom supplies before i started story missions and recruiting new team members. i was afraid that would hurt me in the end because it is going to take a couple weeks or so. before i can start focusing on the story.

You can collect items on story missions too. If they are too difficult you can run away or teleport back to your base. There is no negative impact when you fail on a story mission - but if you have success you can save some days.
But it is also absolutly ok to first build up a base. On higher difficulties you problably have to change the environment in the zone a little bit (the storm can come really fast) when too many days have past.

i have only been doing stay at home when my char is hurt or depressed, and sending my 1 guy out on highest possible success chance. he only brings home 2-3 items at most.

but for the most part its been to get the daily mushrooms and herbs, im on day 14 now, and still havent done any main quest, but when i go in a mission its super hard, with monsters of many types.

does the day affect how hard the enemies are?
is staying put to long to garden a bad thing?

I asked this question last week. One of the developers responded saying that time has no bearing and the days go on indefinitely, you could keep playing until day 3000 if you wanted too.

I am on day 26 and I have only 5 achievments left, so It wouldn't take long to beat it.

Also even tho if it is a fun game it is almost impossible to keep playin' until the day limit tbh, since you will already find yourself in repeating the same things mission by mission and I don't think you will have the will to go further in the loop without a reason lol

but does the number of days affect how hard and what enemies start appearing. like i had described in my comment a few spots up.

That is how I initially thought it worked, but from my experience enemy type and numbers seem much more dependent on your choices during specific missions than the actual passage of time. Time may have a minor effect but it is negligible. After almost 40 days of playing and 100% completing everything, enemy numbers or type never noticeably changed that dramatically.
