- weapon types seem kind of unbalanced.
- lots of skill mechanics do not seem to do what they actually are supposed to do. Might just be not understanding it of course.
- performance is bad overall, 30 fps works best sadly....
- load times get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with v-sync on
- specific mob types tend to cause crashes, seems to be mostly mobs that shoot the bubbles at you for some reason...
- some quests seem to constantly cause a load crash no matter what I try so I can complete them. Visual novel ones with your party members.
- lots of weird bugs for progression, trying to leave a certain area while agroed will softlock you and you need to reset.
- no saving for hours with boss fight after boss fight, could theoretically make it impossible for you to progress if you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ your build
- multiplayer can totally screw up your story progression, I think it's limited to quick match but that's kind of bad.....
I've finished the story myself, working on killing the divine beasts now so I've spent quite a bit of time in it.
As I said, every player has their own opinion. I can give 7/10 or 8/10. I think this game is unique and i like it. It would be nice to see atleast -15% Off
Optimization issues mainly. Not purely due to port quality, but the base game itself. Console has most of the same issues, except they cant fix theirs. For most issues there's bypasses or fixes atm.
Its not Ys VIII levels of bad, but think similar to MHW: fps drops, you have to disable the anti-cheat to get more fps, some crashes or freezes. There are a few critical bugs too, like in rare cases you can get stuck (the game only uses one save slot + a chapter save (and each chapter is LONG), so thats a huge issue)
That said, I would say that you are best off waiting untill they patch the game. They announced there will be a patch around a week from now. The game itself is worth it. Quality-wise it has better content then most jrpgs around, (excluding something like FF) altho ofcourse story and characters are up for debate since those are more subjective.
Well, they could of gave us the same treatment of other sao games by not even addressing it, but they are, and have multiple times addressing the fixes coming along in another patch this month.
cut out the last part and you're more or less right
