I changed the lateral snapping on floors and ceilings to stop the misalignment that occurs on vanilla, the same thing that allows you to place two walls back to back on two different foundations, this needed to be changed to deliver higher accuracy for the snapping parts in CKF.
CKF and Vanilla lateral snap point comparision

TL:DR
They are compatible but if you start with vanilla foundations and choose not to use CKF foundations and ceilings, use only vanilla foundations and ceilings and just use CKF walls.
:)
Thanks a lot for your answer.
It is an acceptable compromise for our current project to only use CKF walls.
We had already built a very large pier made from S+ parts when we realized that building medieval harbour facilities on top of that using CKF would not work as expected.
And rebuilding the pier using CKF would have been hours of hard work ;)
For future builds we will start with CKF foundations from the start up.
