Valve kind of confermed? weapon update:)
if you got to tf2's website, there was a new post finnly conferming after over a year, that new weapons arwe coming, and not just a few but alot. To celebrate they decided to show weapons that would not be used and there are 4 examples. This was the last one. in the last few sentences they state

"In playtesting the parachute, we all had a bunch of fun, and at the end of the day that's really what we're hoping for with all of our weapons."

then show a pic of it..... Under that they relize there fault:medicon:

"Wait, this isn't a terrible idea at all. Okay, forget that last one."

I think they are hinting this got in!!!!!:profgenki:

If cool wepons like this got in, Think what else valve is keeping! can't wait to see!!

this will probably be in the next update TOO!
It will be amazing if this replaces the Mantreads and has a slower fall time. "Trolldiers" would have a new strategy to play.

Valve would never take the time to playtest new weapons. Clearly this is a belated April Fools Day joke, guys.

I am pretty sure this weapon is merely going to decrease the fallspeed for the Soldier, nothing else. He doesn't need much more than that added to the weapon as it's good enough that way. Also jump maps are going to be easier, Might be good for some people but very bad for those who are used to bragging with their jumping skills ~

This is a fantastic item that reminds me of the original trailer, before the TF2 we know was created. The players would jump into the map and be dropped into the battlefield.

Thinking about it, this will probably have to replace your secondary weapon (shotgun) so that you're forced to focus on the rocket launcher. You will rocket jump, or normally jump, and be able to take a descending float, shooting rockets towards the enemy from a top vantage point (limited to the speed of your descent.) To take the advantage point again, you will need to deal with the damage that you give yourself from the jump, and the pro-longed exposure to enemy fire when they aren't hiding themselves from your incoming shots.

I personally think there should be a delay timer between available usage, and some type of slow healing from the single rocket jump, which propelled you, that replaces the exact amount of health lost to the damage from the jump during the refilling of the timer.

Awesome design and concept. Can't wait!

Clearly, you can't read. The post said they weren't adding the weapons listed, then noted that the BASE jumper wasn't actually bad, hinting at it being put in,
