Crashes- gmdoom not working
gmdoom causes crashes for me, in the moment map finishes loading gmod crashes and exists to desktop. I put right WAD in a right place, and I am positive it's gmdoom's fault. Last messages from console in crash log: 240(68.025779): ShaderAPIDX8::CreateD3DTexture: D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY
239(64.209257): ShaderAPIDX8::CreateDepthStencilSurface: D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY
238(64.193911): ShaderAPIDX8::CreateD3DTexture: D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY
237(63.558688): Requesting texture value from var "$dummyvar" which is not a texture value (material: NULL material)
236(63.374705): ShaderAPIDX8::CreateD3DTexture: D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY
(the last one repeats like dozens of times).


I hope the problem is solvable, because I really look forward to this mod...

It sounds like there isn't enough video memory left to store the textures. What kind of graphics card/chipset do you have? Which addons do you have installed? I'll try to get a low-quality-low-memory option in, but I'd like to know what can cause this to happen.
My GPU is Nvidia GTX 7800. It's rather not a very bad one... And all add-ons were disabled.
I found the cause: even if I had newer directx installed, gmod was starting with 8 version... Forcing it to start from 9 using command line parameter helped.
