Description
This map was ported from Black Mesa and is property of Crowbar Collective

The first title screen map, ported from Black Mesa and edited in Hammer. Created for personal use making posters but felt like sharing in case anyone else might be interested. This map was originally built to only be viewed from one angle, so there were a lot of open, untextured areas. I have "repaired" these myself to turn the map into a set that can be used more freely. Previously out of sight areas have been filled in as closely as possible to the in-game map with only a few exceptions.

The escalators, tram and additional models for this map are included in the Black Mesa DLC for SFM. I recommend typing 'Inbound' in the model selector to search for any props you might want to add to your scene. I also recommend enabling 'other entities' as this allows the bloom effect on the lighting elements to show correctly as well as adding some decorative props including the rotating billboards on the second floor. You can do this by right clicking on your viewport, selecting 'Draw Game Entities' and making sure 'Other entities' is checked. I also ported the soda machine model for this map, which is available here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2383599536

It's a known problem that some Black Mesa props don't like when you have Ambient Occulusion turned on, though there are no instances of this in this map (that I know of), please bear this in mind if you have any issues.

If there is anything I didn't cover here or you encounter any issues please let me know!

I have missing textures even though I already have the Black Mesa DLC installed and even the l4d DLC just in case. I can't figure out what the issue is ???

I did make sure my filters were correct and I even tried resubbing. I'll try renaming and see if that helps. Like you said, perhaps the TF2 map is somehow overriding yours. Thanks again!

@Mandalor327 Howdy! I have a couple of ideas of what the problem could be. It may just be that when you are loading the map the window that comes up has the drop down menu at the top that says 'Mod Filter' set to 'All Mods' however you should be able to select 'Workshop' via this menu and the correct map will show there. If that doesn't work the map is likely being overwritten by another map of the same name, SFM can get it's wires crossed at times and I've experienced a similar issue in the past. The best solution I can offer is just renaming this map in your workshop folder and then moving it to a 'maps' folder in usermod. It should work correctly as long as the .BSP portion is left the same. Let me know if this helps out, I'd be happy to help troubleshoot if the problem persists!

Hi, so this map doesn't show up in my workshop files even after the ingame message saying it's been downloaded. The only .bsp with the name "background01" is a TF2 map. Do you know what the issue could be?
