I would like to make a suggestion to you. it will be rather obvious after I elaborate. You should add a master level perk called" diplomacy." It allows you to talk your way into an additional follower. It would only be useful tp purists who only use one. I don't know if there are any besides myself any longer.

how do i use honeyed words and does it work on bandits?

ODI.Nerdymonkeyboy Oct 13, 2014 @ 3:11pm
Falkwreathan seal of approval!
Albinosaurus Sep 19, 2014 @ 5:03am
I was skeptical when I saw the description, but looking at how it all comes togther, I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for the mod. =)
SushiSquid  [author] Sep 9, 2014 @ 6:52pm
This mod does not add experience for shouting. I like the idea, but doing so requires editing the shouts themselves, and I wanted to make this more compatible with other mods that might do that. That does mean that this will not conflict with a mod that just adds experience for shouting.
Vuurenthrai Sep 8, 2014 @ 3:02pm
Does shouting give exp?
Madman Jul 20, 2014 @ 11:42pm
Damn mate, you have some good titles for the perks.
Rarely may I find somebooty who knows what's best for the lore.
orenshmerling Apr 24, 2014 @ 7:45am
the gaurd talks about my honeyd words but nothing happens in the tree
Fortunata Apr 9, 2014 @ 8:35pm
This looks very useful! I was considering making a character who preferred conversation to combat, and it seems your mod is the answer to my dilema of how to play non-lethal in skyrim.
SushiSquid  [author] Dec 30, 2013 @ 7:11pm

I do not believe those should affect anything else if you remove them, but I don't make any promises about it. =/

Also, if you'd like to remove the Merciful perk that allows you to accept enemy yields, delete:

Again, that shouldn't affect anything else negatively, but I can't be totally sure about that, so I'd suggest you make a backup before editing in the Creation Kit (or just deleting with TES5Edit).
Mephisticles Dec 30, 2013 @ 3:39pm
Thanks for your help! I really do want to use this mod! Is there an easy way to strip the yield system out in CK? Or what do you suggest? Thanks.
SushiSquid  [author] Dec 30, 2013 @ 1:53pm
There are scripts, but they're attached to the perks, so they only run when activated by you. Conditionals for when to run those scripts are native. If you did want to strip the yield system out, you could do that, but because it won't be affecting performance, can be ignored if you don't want it, and adds a useful new mechanic for those that do want it, I will not be.
Mephisticles Dec 29, 2013 @ 1:13pm
Yes, but I don't like messing with code when its unnecessary. Not to mention reports of flashing and FPS issues. Is there a way to make a version without it? Or is it entwined with the rest fo the mod and would be too complicated to remove?
SushiSquid  [author] Dec 29, 2013 @ 12:39pm
I didn't mess with the yielding system. I added an entirely new system that you can completely ignore if you want to. The yielding this adds is entirely optional. Just forget it's even there if you don't want to use it.
Mephisticles Dec 28, 2013 @ 9:09pm
Can you please make a version that does't mess with any yielding system? I want a simple revamp of the speech and yours was gonna be it till I got to the yielding weirdness. Thanks.
SushiSquid  [author] Dec 23, 2013 @ 2:24pm
It means that you're yielding. You can accept enemy yields with the Merciful perk.
Charlemagne Dec 23, 2013 @ 1:21pm
Does this yield ability mean I yield, or invite the enemy to yield?
Duck Brute Dec 17, 2013 @ 3:54pm
k thx
SushiSquid  [author] Dec 16, 2013 @ 9:24pm
@Fat Fluffy Switchblade Duck
"Yielding opponents" can be activated only if they're either bleeding out or under 20% health, and you've got Merciful. You can yield by blocking/aiming a bow/readying a spell and activating the target. You'll know you've attempted a yield if the screen flashes green. If your character is ever bleeding out, it's because you've been set as essential. In the base game, this only ever happens during a brawl. My mod does not ever do it, but another you have might.
Duck Brute Dec 16, 2013 @ 3:21pm
i cant activate yielding oopnents, and can we yield? i kind of confused, and i dont know if this is from your mod but when i die, instead of dying i go into a downed bleed out stage and nothing happens
Helbringr Nov 25, 2013 @ 11:10pm
cheers :D i think im going to sub and fav all your mods :P
SushiSquid  [author] Nov 25, 2013 @ 2:59pm
Those perks affect any spell that's tagged as a shout, but they don't edit the shouts, so there won't be any conflict.
Helbringr Nov 25, 2013 @ 5:08am
hey will the shout perks conflict with a Mod i have? it changes the effect, particles and cooldowns for most shouts
Pedobeer Nov 12, 2013 @ 4:02am
Hope is working with DLC cuz I like DlC shouts
Lord Velken Astaroth Oct 23, 2013 @ 9:11am
Not sure what a game mod has to do with a PC clanking sound seems more like a problem with the hardware or the Hard Drive might be dying.
paipaichan Oct 6, 2013 @ 2:02pm
I love this mod!!!! I mostly use it on my thief character as it better represents that charismatic criminal archtype than the base skill tree.

aeonic mirrior Sep 1, 2013 @ 1:48pm
u should make a langerus perk

Victoryguard Aug 23, 2013 @ 2:49am
Great idea but, not great on my machine, can't give a more honest review.
Victoryguard Aug 23, 2013 @ 2:26am
Speech is usually a grind, starting a new character with this enhancement to the tree and I'll give feedback after the first twenty or so levels.
Cheap Shot Aug 13, 2013 @ 4:04am
I love this plugin. Speech in Skyrim was such a missed opportunity with shouts. Thanks for correcting it. I would prefer the shout related perks effects to cap at 20% instead of 30%, but this is a huge improvement to the vanilla tree. Thank you.
Maebure Aug 9, 2013 @ 6:55pm
@zhaythorn There is a racials mod that replaces active racials with passives. This gives Imperials a boost to speechcraft. Not sure how high.
Bimbo Baggins Aug 7, 2013 @ 3:26pm
does anybody know of a race mod that has highspeech? like, a mod that adds a race with plus 10 or plus 15 speach?

Kalashnikool Jun 20, 2013 @ 7:51am
Dude, this mod is awesome. There are a lot of perk changes I've been wanting in Skyrim, and speech is one of the skills I just always thought had more potential. I like to play the "agent" playstyle, with high speech and stuff, and it just never flowed. Thanks for putting the time and effort into making this; I know I could never do this good. :)
Silas_Cole May 21, 2013 @ 9:55am
I really like this mod, but it would also be nice if whenever you reset your speech skill for legendary or through spending a dragon soul that those perks would also be reset as well.
Dragoler Apr 11, 2013 @ 3:32pm
thank you
SushiSquid  [author] Apr 11, 2013 @ 3:31pm

The perks shouldn't be running their scripts constantly anyway, but if you'd like to be safe, you can remove the following perks from yourself using the console:
XX005615 (hidden free perk given to activate the new yield system)
XX001004 (Merciful)
XX0050af (Honeyed Words)

Remember to replace XX with whatever the mod's load order is, in hexadecimal.
Dragoler Apr 11, 2013 @ 11:35am
How might I safely uninstall this mod without leaving scripts in my savegame?
pikmonwolf Mar 28, 2013 @ 2:11pm
Okay cool, though I am kind of confused on how to surrender.
SushiSquid  [author] Mar 27, 2013 @ 8:32pm
Merciful is a totally different system. It's for making enemies yield to you, not for augmenting your yielding to enemies.
pikmonwolf Mar 27, 2013 @ 5:45pm
I am kind of confused, it looks like honeyed words (lvl 65) removes gold cost, but merciful (lvl 25) makes you gin gold, so isn't merciful better? I am probably confused, can anybody clarify?
ShadowMaster Mar 25, 2013 @ 9:00am
no its because you are part of theives guild, being part of it you can bribe guards without perk
joshgntry Feb 27, 2013 @ 10:04pm
My character can Bribe guards out of crimes but does not have the appropriate Perk. Does this mod cause this, perhaps?
goliath001 Feb 25, 2013 @ 3:31pm
Thank you for the mod!
SushiSquid  [author] Feb 21, 2013 @ 1:55pm
The newly added perks are using new base IDs, so if you remove the mod, they'll be taken away with nothing given back.
ufoexpert Feb 21, 2013 @ 10:07am
I was wondering If I put skills into this tree and then I change my mind about this mod, will I get the perks back or should I go into the black book and remove them myself before removing the mod?
wpogowee88 Jan 18, 2013 @ 11:45am
it does that
