where is the book

@Aggro: There's nothing to update in this for the latest patch, all the tips and techniques and exploits still work.

If you find some of the exploits do not work, it's because you have USKP or a similar mod which has changed the way skyrim works. See my post below for further details.

Would you mind update this great book so it goes alogn the lastest patch please?

Kick ass awesome mod!
Vassago Feb 3, 2014 @ 10:12pm
I wasnt able to increase the smithing aspect of it i did however previously have another mod installed that allowed all enchantments in the game to be places on a single item respectively (armor enchants for armor weapon enchants for weapons) and ive found that having an enchant pot at 1116% did allow me to max out clean nightengale styled armor to over 2000 which is still extremely good
Arod Snaux  [author] Feb 2, 2014 @ 1:06pm
1) extremely high values can actually cause certain stats to go negative (which are usually treated as 0). Get nervous and save the game when any values exceed 32,000 or 64,000 before pushing it to a higher level. This is due to a programming thing called "overflow". In general I try to keep Resto/Smothing potions no higher than 800%, and then just drink several at a time until i hit the desired level. Also note that skyrim has certain hard caps on some stats such as armor - any score over 840 is ignored.

2) If you installed USKP recently, the Resto trick won't work. They consider it a bug (despite it being a part of every TES game ever made) and rather arrogantly decided to "fix" it. As a side effect, this makes RPG playing as a healer (with an NPC tank) almost impossible. To fix it, uninstall USKP and possibly go to an earlier save.
Vassago Feb 2, 2014 @ 5:41am
I even drank a fortify Restoration pot at 820k% before putting the smith boosting armor back on and nothing changed....
Vassago Feb 2, 2014 @ 5:37am
alright so i have just spent the last 8 hours going this the smithing boost to 729000% and it did NOTHING! AT ALL.....What'd i do wrong?

I'll have to pass on this on, although I have to agree with your idea's and comparison's regarding exploits vs cheats. Good job for whomever feels they need it. The Analyzer looks really good though! Next!
Arod Snaux  [author] Jun 30, 2013 @ 5:53pm
@faith1165: Yes, it can. However, unlike real cheats like TGM or downloading some uber-stat cheat mod, this gives you the option of making your gear as strong or weak as your playstyle prefers.

Personally I dislike dying, but also hate one-shotting everything in sight, therefore I make strong armor but relatively tame weapons, which makes of r nice long drawn-out fight. Other folks will want to kill Alduin before he lands. It's a simple matter of choice and self control.
Takaki Jun 28, 2013 @ 5:33pm

Where do you find it lol
faith1165 Jun 23, 2013 @ 1:54am

This was one of the first mods that i have used.I advise all players new to skyrim of God Gear and Glory and to use this Mod.Enhancing a Speed Enchantmet on a set of Boots is fun.thanx

NOTE: The latest Unofficial Skyrim Patch (USKP) breaks both the resto-chugging exploit and the ability to fortify your clothing abilities through Restoration fortification.

I've asked Arthmoor to address this problem as I think it was unintentional.

Regardless of how you may or may not feel about using exploits in a "real" playthrough, these exploits are essential for modders and people trying to restore corrupted games.
Arod Snaux  [author] Mar 12, 2013 @ 9:38pm
That's debatable; I see the difference as being that in exploits you figure something out, it works, so you run with it until you feel guilty. Sorta like jumping on a roof and dumping arrows into an npc, knowing they aren't smart enough to climb up after you. I think of cheats as more blatant: using "TGM" or installing a mod that lets you install kill anything.

Having played through skyrim 20+ times, I have no problems using an exploit or three to get me to the point where the game gets interesting, rather than have to stumble through the early tutorials, etc.

In other words, cheats are freebies, exploits you still gotta work for. Exploits also tend to be more controlled: in this case, you can make you gear as OP or UP as you wish, whereas an instant-kill sword cheat will always be an instant kill sword.
Dathus [BR] Mar 12, 2013 @ 7:19pm
Exploits like Restoration potions to enchant 1000% is cheating too.
Arod Snaux  [author] Feb 18, 2013 @ 8:00pm
Yeah I got tired of alt-tabbing between Skyrim and UESP trying to figure out how to do this or that, and looking through pages of hex codes trying to find numbers, or wondering if I really had the best gear.

Now I don't even worry about gear - I just get whatever looks cool, and improve the hell out of it. One of my toons tanks dragons wearing a japanese schoolgirl outfit and her daughter's wooden sword, and is virtually unkillable, lol.

The idea to have guides within the game in books is inspired! thank you for making this mod I love it. I am going to check out some of your other mods.

@milehigh026 - On steam it's called "Leveling Merchants Wallets"
sangimpur Dec 30, 2012 @ 5:11am
@Snaux - nice mods, am dropping these in as, like milehigh026 just looking for lore firendly non-cheat mods to make things more interesting whileo also doing away with boring tasks I've done 10's of thousands times. Really like Arod's inventory controls and am sure your others will be the same common sense solution this one is. Thanks! Rated, favorited and endorsed.

@milehigh026 - you might want to try "Better Leveling Merchants and Speechcraft". It adds a substantial amont of coin to merchants/fences that doesn't break the game and it won't take a month of in-game days to sell off high cost items. It is a cheat in my view but after 20,000+ barters I think I get how it works..... its about time the process became useful....

If you have too much stuff and too much gold: just start downloading -all- the house mods. load up as many as you can find (which don't conflict, obviously) and start in on decorating the inside of those. It'll keep you busy at least - and it is mildly entertaining to stack mannequins with the clothes of defeated foes. I have one wearing Ulrics clothes, one wearing the emperors clothes and eventually I'll get around to finishing the dawnguard dlc - harkon's on my hitlist.
tina.patterson55 Jun 23, 2012 @ 11:45am
Well done. Thanks.
milehigh026 Jun 19, 2012 @ 5:10am
Snaux, thanks for the reply. I'm not really that concerned about the actual gold that I get. To be honest I have over 36 million that I will never be able to spend. After purchasing houses and training there is really nothing to spend your gold on. Every time I go out questing and come back with loot to sell, after smithing and enchanting items I usually net about 300k each time so gold just piles up. I was only asking to see if there was a way to sell these high valued items without cheating..... to much. On a side note, after playing through this game many times I never knew about the resto potion trick. I always just maxed out my smithing, alchemy and enchanting and sold the items. thanks again for putting this info in one easy to use place. cheers mate.
Arod Snaux  [author] Jun 19, 2012 @ 1:43am
30,000 is a hardwired cap for vendors in the game, I think. You can set the number higher but weird things happen. Worst case, sell them item, take a loss, then type "player.additem f 10000000" to make up the difference. =)
milehigh026 Jun 18, 2012 @ 12:29pm
now if only there was a place to sell all of my items. I got gear that is valued over 100k, and no place to get rid of it. Seriously all of my houses are stuffed full of crap that I will never be able to sell. Even using the additem gold console command to the vendors I can only add about 30,000. Any one know of any ideas or other mods that can help? Thanks
Arod Snaux  [author] May 10, 2012 @ 6:18pm
Sadly no, BUT you can jack your regen levels up so high it doesnt really matter, or get that magic item that lowers cost of all schools and restor-chug it to 100% giving you unlimited magic.
๖Autismo May 8, 2012 @ 11:50pm
180% less to cast... does that mean you GAIN 80% magicka instead?
Gamer Apr 30, 2012 @ 3:01pm
I like the way you did the books .If you want to play vanilla you can or if you want to use exploits minor major or full on cheats its your option .Nice idea
Arod Snaux  [author] Apr 29, 2012 @ 12:27am
Added some screenshots to show what you can do by following the books. The vanilla items with incredible stats like +300% *minor* archery ring are done using the resto-chugger exploit, and the insane armor stats are made using either the Basic Method or the resto-reclothing methods.

If you find youself in need of resto potions, check out my other mod which gives you a fishing net that really works, and allows you to catch dozens of longfins.
