The demo pictures #1 and #2 are incredibly adorable. Now I want to write fanfiction about the mercs and their pets.

PRO: Fruitbat model itself looks good, nice details. You wrote: "The color scheme is changed to enhance features and to better match the Pyro", is that whay its fure is pale grey? You could make the body goldenbrown, that's a neutral colour for RED and BLU, too, and closer to most fruitbats.
CON: The flight animation needs more work. Batwings beat faster, and the body should stay motionless in the air while wings go up and down, instead of body going up and down between the wing tips like a Halloween bat on a string.
