#1 simply change the order in which those Thick lazer walls Turn Off -- Place the 1st one that will turn off in the front, and then when the lazer hits the node in the back, the wall switches to the 2nd area (so it Seems like we're "Making progress", at least -- it's just not enough yet =P. AND, it removes the ability to accidentally solve it =D )
& 2ndly, place the Lazer Lightbulb outside, closer to the Wall (as I suggested)-- possibly with just enough room for a Cube to be placed there =D. Maybe create a fancy texture square for the floor to show something goes there =P. xD.
I really hope that helps ^_^
Would you mind trying one of mine? It's a bit tricky.

My escape-themed chamber, " The Oubliette ", is large and quite difficult, with deadly traps. It is not for beginners.

The way you made this puzzle was very inventive, interesting, and creative, without a doubt. I really liked it for that pure inventiveness in design alone, despite its sometimes frustrating & confusing aspects. I'd like to see what your able to do in the future, and I hope to see this test chamber improved a bit -- so that I can run through it & enjoy the layout you created with others =).
I hope the comment helps & the length keeps people who don't want to know how to solve the puzzle away from reading it all =P =).
But if you solved the puzzle & have complaintive thoughts too xD, maybe some of what I said covers ur thoughts as well =).
Either that, or make one of the lazer nodes higher than normal & only accessible by placing the testing cube underneath of the redirectional cube. But, you'd have to redesign even more of the room if you wanted to make that happen & be functional for all testers, so the Other idea is probably better. You could use that 2nd idea for Another testing room though.
#3 The little ground lazer's lightbulb located in the middle of the first necessary testing area, was the first unresolved thing I had to walk away from, so it was the first thing I went back to try & take care of, once I got the redirectional cube. That's how I noticed the Metal Grating on the side, and accidentally solved the course early, and unsatisfied. Maybe place the ground lazer lightbulb outside of the emancipation field, in the middle of the walk way which leads out towards the exit, and remove or increase the height of the white walls located in the corner before the thick lazers & exit (that way testers Have to place the portal where you want it in order to get to the exit =] ). That could help with Testers not figuring out the solution early.
Got back into the room, and tried fiddling with where the lazer would go, in sincere confusion, trying to figure where that extra cube could go or what I was possibly missing. Finally figured out how to extract the other cube, back to the center of the room! And found out... it had no purpose
#1 Though the dialogue was funny + well chosen =], As other people mentioned though, Glados is speaking a bit over Cave's speech in the beginning, and She repeats the line ... I'm gonna paraphrase this... "This test was designed to study how test subjects respond to testing along side deadly thermal lazers" at least twice, every time I tried playing. I don't know if that's on purpose, but its small details (not Too annoying), could be changed easily enough =].
#2 The Puzzle design itself left me so confused & frustrated about the creator's Intended direction for us as testers. The 1st time I went through it, I got the Blue Portal Gun, & noticed that the button near by it could get rid of the emancipation grid, so I assumed that I needed to Come Back for That Box to complete the puzzle in some way (that's the only logical reason I could see for u placing a big button there).
I recorded my blind play, here's the link : {LINK REMOVED}http://www.mediafire.com/?pkpa3p1u1bvxaw8
