I feel that this mod would be a lot better if you toned down torgue's sware beeps, because as soon as a tank is on fire or being shot at all I hear is "[Beep] [Beep] [Beep] THIS [Beep]". Other then that this mod is great.

also, this could be a bit louder. It's hard to hear Mr.Torgue's voice over all of the gunshots and EXPLOSIONS. Still, nice mod though, hilarious!

Great mod, I love Borderlands! Could you make a sound mod for Krieg the Pycho as the tank? After all, Krieg is the close combat guy who loves destruction and killing; quite fitting for the Tank if you ask me. Oh, and , by the way... EXPLOSIONS!!!

Mister Torgue was first featured in Mister Torgue's Campaign of Carnage DLC. He's also in most (if not all) of the DLC that was released after that one.

So far nothing has gone wrong with the audio files and it is playing very well, even when the Tank is on fire and getting shot. Have to say, having a Tank swear its head off while chasing us is very fuuny and cool. Thanks for the upload!

@Barbas I think the static is coming from the fact that the Source engine is trying to play multiple sound files over the course of a short period of time. If you set Torgue on fire and proceed to shoot him, the game has to play both the 'tank burning' files and the 'tank pain' files. The result of this causes bursts of static after every sound you hear.

As for extending the sound files, I have appended a 0.100 second length of silence to all audio files except the "tank_climbing" and "tank_attack/tank_throw" files in a 'beta' version of the mod, located here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v9o7zqmyn52qbsp/1u8cI_II2z

If you wish to play around with the length of the files (in case 0.100 is not enough) the source sounds have also been included with that link.

Using snd_rebuildaudiocache does not appear to have fixed the issue. The burst of static always occurs at the very end of a sound file, whether just at the end of his sentence or some distance beyond. Sometimes it is the tiniest fraction of a *pop*, at other times the static burst appears to be fractionally longer.

I have noticed the issue in all the voice lines, whether Torgue be running, attacking, on fire or taking damage.

I have heard it said that increasing the length of the sound file marginally can resolve the issue (an evil born forth into our world during the 'Sacrifice' update), but I fear I am a mere speculator in this field, having no real sound modding experience to speak of. I hope you can restore to Torgue the badassery that is his birthright.

@Barbas Try the snd_rebuildaudiocache command and see if that fixes the problem. Out of curiosity, what lines are experiencing static bursts? (when he's on fire, taking damage, combat yells, idle faraway growls, etc.)

@Gaige The Mechromancer I'm not that great with 3d modeling, so creating a model from scratch would probably take longer than to wait for a model to be ported to the Source engine

Again, I've never ever run into this problem before, so I'm not really sure how to solve it. You could try revalidating the steam cache or an uninstall/reinstall. You could also try redownloading the mod to see if that helps.

i tried removing all the mods it still didnt work im doing the console thing now is it supposed to take reeeaaally long? if so what do i do after wards?

@Miss'a Consuela: I've never really experienced that type of error before when it comes to sound mods. First, try playing a map with only the tank mod enabled (no other mods checked) since it could be a conflict between two mods. If that doesn't work, try opening up your console and type in 'snd_rebuildaudiocache' (minus the quote marks).
