Fund the back entrence to see your system. Amazing.

Nice Laser Show !!!

great mechanism! unfortunately no puzzle...

i like the little easter egg/BTS also every time i look at the funnels my pc slows down heh my computer cant handle your genius
Geneosis  [author] May 9, 2013 @ 8:45am
Thanks for playing ^^

@Frosty Andy {RU} : Yep, all the maps I made with the type "Show" are only fun stuff to watch ;) If you look for more challenging tests, have a look into my Logic and Skill collections.
Gravel Andy May 9, 2013 @ 8:04am
Aww www. I though it was puzzle element. But your engineer work is respestable
Mitch McWiggins Mar 29, 2013 @ 9:55am
Wow, really cool.
Geneosis  [author] Dec 23, 2012 @ 6:01am
@Reiman : Added it to the list ;) Will try to find a moment during this holidays to play them all :p

Hi again, I just wanted to show you a puzzle, done around your concept:
Back from Infinity (<click)
I wish you merry X-Mas!!!
Rei Dec 10, 2012 @ 6:16pm
Astounding, how circles can be made out of squares. Long lives Sinus! ^_^v
And congrats for assembling that mechanism!
Geneosis  [author] Nov 29, 2012 @ 10:04am
@8MMW : Well you can check the version mood3rd made, it's probably easier to understand but use a 2-inputs switch instead of a 1-input switch as I did here ;) Check the previews comments to find it...
Also in case you missed it I added a link to a little drawing of the circuit in the description if you want to reproduce this version ^^
8MMW Nov 27, 2012 @ 1:12pm
This one was very creative. The mechanisms seem to be complicated at first, but I think I'll look at them later :)
I have also used some kind of funnel/cube circulating mechanism in my map Funnel Joystick + . It is not as complex as this one, and it's actually hidden (can be seen with noclip), but I just used it for continuous automatic switching between 3 states.

Thanks for the drawing. Elegent method.
Geneosis  [author] Nov 5, 2012 @ 10:00am
Ok, I did it ^^ I added the link and some informations about it in the description ;) Feel free to ask more questions if there is any problem.
ozone Nov 5, 2012 @ 8:59am
sorry, comments won't include long blocks of spaces. Input is conected to both lasers with laser relay And'ed to output laser, pretty mutch as you discribed. You can get the same effect buy linking a flip panel, angle panel, and laser to input and blocking laser path with the panels.
The panel method does however have a short "cooldown". Run it too fast and it'll stutter or even quit.
Geneosis  [author] Nov 5, 2012 @ 8:40am
Hem, I think I get it and I think this is the idea ^^ Also... I'm not sure but my version seems more complicated ^^" Will check that again...
ozone Nov 5, 2012 @ 8:38am
Thanks. I'll go back to your Creation tools for another look.
Drawing should have looked like this

Input----------------------------------------------
\ \
laser(start on)>>>>>laser relay---------output laser(and)
Geneosis  [author] Nov 5, 2012 @ 8:23am
Hem I think this is the first time I was able to make this version of the SR latch work (because it wont work without the instant pulse system). So there is a lot of easier to understand versions in my map creator tools, but not this one. I think I will try to draw this circuit manually to make it less obscure X)

And about the instant pulse, I think you got the idea... Not sure I understand your drawing but as I remember you have the input linked to 2 lasers, one of them start activated, and there is a AND gate to power the laser off as soon at it is activated ^^
ozone Nov 4, 2012 @ 1:46pm
Nice stuff. Is there a less compacted version of the SR latch switch in one of your mappers tools maps? I was able to exactly duplicate its behavior with a fast variation of the Multi-press Machine, but can't get it to your level of parts/ effiecency . Also is your instant laser

input----------------------------------------------------------------\
\____laser(on default)___laser relay________(and at) output laser

or something even faster?

mood3rd Oct 30, 2012 @ 5:56pm
thankyou
Geneosis  [author] Oct 30, 2012 @ 2:22pm
Hem, IRL is just a common gamer abbreviation for "in real life" X) For the rest, I will post some comments on your map as soon as I played it ;)
mood3rd Oct 30, 2012 @ 11:27am
I am not literate on the names: sr latch & IRL.
I presume the instant pulse, is the laser hiting the laser catcher briefly,
which activates a laser for a instant.
I look forward to your feedback on the way I got the infinity to work.
considering I could not understand your gates fully, so made some of my own.
Geneosis  [author] Oct 29, 2012 @ 5:18pm
Will check your map when I have a moment ^^
But basically what I used to alternate the funnels is a "sr latch" circuit, and an "instant pulse" to activate it...
What I call an "instant pulse" is something that is impossible IRL but possible in game because of some imperfections : what you need basically is to power on AND off a laser at the same time, so that it will fire the shortest possible pulse of light ;)

hi Geneosis
I just had another go in the editor, at working out & building the laser infinity loop,
you did, so well.
I could not work out your gate system.
but did it the following way:
reflector cube-lasers-infinity
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=105482271
I left everything in plain sight, for analasis.
mood3rd Oct 29, 2012 @ 12:24pm
I had a quick go at making one with: your funels, lasers, reflector cube setup & gates:
2 laser catchers, 2 sets of (2x) 1 relay, 2 lasers & a angled panel.
could not see where it go wrong.
as I would go through door & the cube would be into the cieling,
would alter & it would be against the wall etc.
I think I might put a pedestal button in there, to start it, until I perfect it.
then I can see exactly where I am making mistakes.
eg where to put the reflector cube at the begining.
I could use a light bridge to posision it, then deactivate automaticaly or manualy.
anyway, I will try again another day.
to me, not yet being able to do it, re-enforces the "wow +" I gave you.
Geneosis  [author] Oct 29, 2012 @ 3:53am
@Myristil : Comme les autres maps de type "show", le but est juste de faire un effet visuel stylé ;)

@mood3rd : Basically this is the idea, but the mechanism I used for that is the most complex I ever built X)
mood3rd Oct 28, 2012 @ 12:27pm
wow +
I asume that either directly or through another item or items,
that when the laser from the reflector cube hits the laser catcher near the entrance,
it changes the polarity of the 2 funels & later changes them back.
to understand it, I might try to build it myself, if I get time.
a shame the laser does not burn the infinity symbol into the wall, for a greater effect.
but portals physics won't alow.
Hogarth Oct 21, 2012 @ 9:42pm
Impressive.
cyron43 Oct 20, 2012 @ 6:53am
It will take a while to figure it out. Great Job, Geneosis. :-)
Jade BGE Oct 19, 2012 @ 12:09pm
Good grief... I'm amazed at what talented forlks can think of. You're right I have no idea how this works, probably the lazer passing through and blocking other connections and switching the polarity is all I can think of. It was beautiful to look at and think about. Thank you for that.
MachManX Oct 19, 2012 @ 12:09pm
Wow, you did it! Not a perfect infinity, rather the infinity that kung-fu masters use...and I like it :D Great job man!
