Updates to ArmA had done something to slightly alter the way the boats drove ashore. This update addresses that.

  • Fixed: There was a bug where the player would sometimes not be ejected from the boat when it landed awkwardly on the shore. There is now fail-safe code that will eject him even if this does happen.
  • Improved: Tweaked the code that drives the boats ashore. They're less likely to "bounce back" into the ocean now. This, in turn, means soliders are less likely to get stuck in the ocean.
  • Known bug: Soldiers still sometimes get stuck standing in the boat even after they've disembarked. They tend to dislodge themselves eventually, at which point they run to join their squad.
  • Known bug: An odd script error involving BIS_fnc_arsenal appears at mission start. It does not seem to effect the way the arsenal is used. (This error might require showScriptErrors startup parameter[community.bistudio.com] to be seen.)

  • Changed: Removed the ammo crate in the shack. Players wanting to change their load-out can now do so at the boats where they land using the Bohemia's Virtual Arsenal system. (The bonus objective for using your default gear still stands.)
  • Changed: Briefing text to reflect the above point.
  • Improved: The friendly AI now wait for the player to move out before they launch their attack. This allows the player to change load-out, read the mission briefing, etc.
  • Changed: Improved friendly AI skill levels.
  • Changed: Tweaked certain things about the amphibious landing. Annoyingly, AI are on rare occasions getting stuck trying to disembark.

  • Fixed: Minor improvements to randomised weather. Changes in weather simulation in a recent ArmA 3 patch meant tweaks were needed to overcast[community.bistudio.com] values.
  • Fixed: The skiptime[community.bistudio.com] command seemed to be intermittently failing with this latest patch. This lead to incorrect time-of-day on mission start. Forced the startup script to check and adjustment the time of day until it is "close enough" (within 6 minutes).

  • Fixed: A scripting error related to simulSetHumidity. (BIS removed the scripting command simulSetHumidity[community.bistudio.com] in a recent patch.)
  • Added: Mission should now become checked when completed in the list of single-player missions. (Not sure if this will work when downloaded via Steam Workshop.)

Changes:

  • Fixed: Script error that could appear about "tskCrate".
  • Added: Briefing now shows before mission start.
  • Changed: Individual enemies now more likely to spawn. Basically, this means more enemies.
  • Changed: Enemy soldiers' random skill now, on average, higher.
